Sign Up for Mystery Game Beta Test
Game developers Hiding Buffalo have announced they are seeking beta testers to play their online mystery game, Gumshoe Online. The game is described as "a point and click adventure game for the PC that transports the player back to the corrupt gangster-ridden streets of 1930's America. Played using a standard Internet browser, Gumshoe is available to anyone with an Internet connection. The game has been designed to appeal to Internet users, adventure gamers and crime fans alike. Compelling storylines and mind-bending puzzles recreate the 'film noir' feel of movies such as L.A. Confidential, The Maltese Falcon and Chinatown."

Back to the Gumshoe Online beta testing subject.

They say "Unlike traditional computer games, Gumshoe Online uses web technology and is therefore available to anyone with an Internet connection; because no software is downloaded you can play Gumshoe Online at any computer, just log on and continue the case from where you last played."

I wonder if "web technology" and "no software is downloaded" includes the use of Flash... Guess I'll sign up and find out!
