 		[SPEC] Birthdays
OK, not that we can't expect updates to these pages, but I think we can expect some birthday related posts/pics. There should be 4 birthdays between now and 1-18. One Leo (July23-Aug 22) two Virgos (Aug23-Sep22) and one Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan19).

For sure, we know that Beth's birthday is August 25th from her survey in her blog.

Blond girl #1's name might be Janelle. Beth McIntyre's blog entry about the quiz says that the person she's known the longest (not counting family) is "Janelle".

Also, does anyone find it funny that the video on Beth's main page is a song by Kylie Minogue called "Come Into My World"? Clearly for Beth the character it's a song of longing for a single girl, but I can't help but think it's a wink to the people paying attention by the puppetmasters. Then again, I do have an odd sense of humor.

Sorry, one last addition. Marlena's blog entries indicate that Lily has a male roommate named Niles, who may or may not be the Asian guy or the $11 guy. Just wanted to add it so people can be on the lookout for that name if they want to be.

On Lil's site, she recommends the book House of Leaves, saying - "READ IT. It's incredible!!!"
In that book, there's a section called WhalesToe Letters. Here's something about that section from Wikipedia:

"There are also several secret messages in the letters, which can be decoded by combining the first letter of consecutive words."

Might be a clue to try that technique elsewhere.

Also, I was lookin at the myspace page for Jamie, and on the profile song is Modest Mouse. I looked it up on youtube, and the video shows sailors talking about a big big fish in the sargasso sea, watch,

Just noticed too that Beth has a silver band on her left ring finger, but too small to get a good look at it. Doesn't necessarily mean anything these days, but could be engaged (IRL?).

 		"adios" t-shirt - "praying skeletons"
The link below should take you to an 18th century painting/drawing of a praying skeleton that looks like the two that are in Rob's "favorite" t-shirt - the one with "ADIOS" written at the bottom. The leg positions are different - in the painting, the skeleton is down on one knee, but in the shirt the two skeletons seem to be on both knees. BUT, from the hip up, they look to be the same as the painting.

"The praying skeleton — also used in William A. Alcott's landmark popular anatomy, The House I Live In (1832) — is copied from William Cheselden's 1713 Anatomy of the Humane Body."

I'd put the image up here, but I don't know how to do that. Embarassed

 		this image - of the praying skeleton - is actually pretty common, it turns out. This link will take you to a State Street Shirt Company in Madison, WI - they've got a whole line of clothes with a single praying skeleton (both knees down). There's also other clothing lines that use this icon (some things from hot topic, etc.), but no sign of that ADIOS shirt.

I think we should try to find out more about this shirt only b/c we see it a lot and it's his "favorite" shirt; also, the Slusho! tshirt in the trailer was a clue, and the Slusho! site just started selling tshirts. It seems like someone's trying to draw our attention to tshirts, is all I'm sayin'.

last thing about the damn skeletons - there is another print of a skeleton from the original 1713 Anatomy of the Humane Body, by William Cheselden, and that is the one w/both knees down that's become popular on everything from mugs to wrist warmers to tshirts, etc. I have a copy of the image, but I don't know how to post it. Someone who knows how can find it by doing a Google Image Search for "praying skeletons" - 2nd page of search results, 4th pic on the top row.

I mention this only b/c there's a roman number above the skeleton's head in what looks to be the original print. It's XXXVI - 36. Probably nothing, but you never know; file it away for possible future use.
