March 11 Advertisement

Hey I was just wondering if someone could fill me in on what the morse code at the bottem of this advertisement http://www.deuscity.com/index.php?deus_news_id=69 means for Deus City. I know it says "SODALITY FOLIO PAGE IN FLA" just curious as to what exactly it is talking about. Thanks

That is a really indepth topic. You can look it up on the Deus City wiki and the Folio thread on this forum. It's really too complicated and lengthy for a new thread.

Here's the link to the associated wiki page. Sorry about the ridiculously long load time due to the image.

You'll probably want to read: the plot summary on the wiki, all the Deus City news articles and their forum discussions, all the in-game blogs, and all the plot-based threads in these forums.

That'll keep you busy for a while, but hey, there's not much else to do. Smile

Hang in there! I'm fairly new as well (only a few weeks in). I know it's hard in the beginning but once you jump in to it things will begin to make sense. One good thing about getting started late is you have a fresh perspective on things when they happen. For example...a lot of older agents haven't read the archives lately...but if you just read something (such as the history page where it talks about a death in Ju.....?) and something happens (such as Mercer dying in Ju...ly) you are more likely to remember it because it is fresh in your mind. Good luck and I hope to see you in the interface!

By the way, if you have any questions or just want to chat with another newbie feel free to send me a message. My agent ID is also tigerchica418. Smile

Haven't read the archives? You wound me. If we didn't read them, how would we know they changed, hmmm? Razz

It's actually good there's a lull, in order for you to catch up, though. What holes do you need clarified? You've read the blogs and wiki and all that, I'm thinking, right?

Yeah I have read most of the archives, the only real question I have is the search for the folio's. What was reason for the search and is it done? I may have misread the history but I am not a entirely sure what happened there. Thanks again for all the help...and yeah I am glad there is a lull in the city right now so I can catch up Smile

In short: Defense-Corp, the organization that funded the Time Communication Project that led to Deus City's creation, was founded by members of a mysterious order called the "Committee of the Sedulous Amalgamation", a group of people at one time led by Alex Wright Sr charged with the protection of folio fragments left by Nostradamus through his assistant, Chavigny. These folios contained prophecies that referred to a time in the future when two-way communications with the future became possible.

Adam talked with Alex Wright Sr before his unfortunate demise and started questing for the folio fragments, hoping the prophecies would help guide his actions leading into the future and help prevent bad stuff from going down. He worked together with other people from tCotSA (mainly Ethan Sedgewick aka eldoradowatcher) to find fragments, and so far only three or four, depending on how you count them, have been found.

All of the folios we know about have been discovered. However, there are more and Adam has referred to "hundreds of pages of documents" he's been poring over: this might either be a hint that a search for the next one will start, or proof that he has more than we know about.

So is it over? Probably not. Is there much we can do about it now? Not really, beyond pestering Adam and Ethan for additional leads.

Ah...and it all clicks together. Thanks for the update, and hopefully we get a new search soon.
