edit: just checked click on the name and it should be at the bottom. I had problems finding it to start with.

I can't click on the name of the candy. It's not a link for me. It's just text. Can someone tell me exactly what to do? I know for sure which candy I'm supposed to find, but I don't see the jigsaw piece anywhere. Sad

I found the piece. Very tricky. At least for me. You have to type
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Tropical Pops
in the search bar at the top of the page and then you should be able to click the name of the candy on the 4th result that comes up. Hope that clears it up for some people who had the same problem. Smile

 Word of Warning

I got home tonight and found an email from the golden jigsaw telling me my playing profile had been deleted, unless this is some idiot on their team acting the ass then all I can assume is that they are following forums and acting on the conditions of play and banning anyone that gets to helpful to others from playing.

I would advise that you don't give out direct links or actual names of the sites found in the forums as you could find that they shoot you down for breaking their rules.

Somewhat hypocritical considering they have changed aspects of the game play no less 3 times in the firs week but just be careful.

In the mean time I have replied to their email asking why and if this is the case and others get shit on like this it wont be long before the actual pieces are posted on unmoderated newsgroups and the like and lets see how much revenue that generates for them when it becomes common knowledge all people need to do is register with an unmoderated newsgroup and have the pieces delivered to their mail boxes.

A little heavy handed for such an early stage in the game I think but please do share with the forum if this has happened to you to.

Good luck and happy playing.

I too have been banned. I haven't given out any direct links or names of sites, but I suppose just being a member of UF is enough for them to delete your account.

Geez - I am sorry to hear that. I imagine you would especially be upset if you made purchases at the sites.

Follow up on deleted account

This is the reply I got:

Quote:
Hi,

Your account was 'deleted' because it was found to have a positive link with a website or website(s) that are being used, encouraged or moderated to infringe upon player rules and, despite prior warnings, continue to actively release private information concerning The Golden Jigsaw via a public forum on the internet, with the intent to damage the interests of the owners, developers, partners & players of the game.

If you believe this to be an error, please contact us via return and we will seek to rectify things as swiftly as possible.

Best regards,

Don Campbell

I replied to them with this and await their reply again:

Quote:
Hello,

I am very disappointed at your actions in this and it draws a VERY large question mark over the whole integrity of the game as no doubt after the final piece has been submitted you will be spending the 28 days to try and find out if the winner has ever visited any site that has in the duration of the game ever posted something you could call against your rules. Given that this could include MSN Groups, Yahoo Groups, Public Forums and a host of other sites then it is likely that your company could probably refuse payment to 95% of the players under this rule.

What is also very confusing is that this week you endorsed the Purplexorum as the official forum for the game and in the past week a number of the members on there have shared clues and locations to the pieces and at NO time did you state anywhere that belonging to other forums or sites would jeopardize a players ability to play the game.

This early on in the game the players are finding their feet and sharing ideas which is to be expected and encouraged as it will increased the number of dedicated players which is what the game needs in order to sell pieces to potential advertisers, New concepts like this need to be as open and as playable as possible to as many as possible and the slightest hint of foul play or overly heavy handed actions on your companies part will have a seriously negative effect on the selling of the pieces for you.

I could understand that after 400 pieces or so you send out an email stating that now its getting serious and you have noticed a large number of people sharing links and answers to clues openly and that if a player is found to be posting such details then their game will be ended but not after only 23 pieces that is just power mongering and will turn the internet against you.

I hope that you can revue your actions regarding my account and others and return to being an enjoyable game rather than an overly protective nanny that thinks they can control something as open as the internet.

I am sure you will be aware that it only takes very little internet knowledge to create an account on public forums that has no connection whatsoever to a players account on your game so your actions in this way serve as just an annoyance and not a players ability to play and all those players that have had this experience will already know this and will not have any regard for your rules on their non related accounts and before you know it there will be newsgroups where all people need to do is register an anonymous email address to it and get the pieces sent directly to their mail boxes, and then I doubt if many companies would be interested in buying pieces for serious money and getting nothing but a few passing surfers.

Again I hope you revise your thinking and actions before you spoil the game and create a whole lot of people that resent you rather than support you.

All the best and I look forward to your reply.

The reality of this is that ANY player that belongs to any network that has shared a clue could be excluded for winning if they decide to do so, I will be waiting on their reply and if it is one of arrogant unhelpfulness then the whole lot will be forwaded to the companies that have bought and hosted pices so far and lets see how a little negaive publicity helps their game.

Have fun and lets see what clue 10 has in store Wink

Question to owners or managers of this forum, please reply.

Has this forum ever been contacted by the golden jigsaw to inform them that the goings on on the forum are in breach of the game rules and if so was the request made to make this information public and ask that we re-read the rules and abide by them in the future?

If not then there is a serious legal concern that the Golden Jigsaw are visiting these forums and checking t see if any username matches their players list and deleting them based on that, if that be the case then they could well be facing legal cases that will far exceed their prize fund and profit margin in legal fees and compensation payouts, anyone feel like taking them on Laughing

Thanks in advance for a reply to the question.
