I got the email too! Very Happy Cool (We need an emoticon for overwhelming lack of humility and modesty Wink ). What's the general feeling about giving out your 'real' address to these guys? Will I end up getting deluged with junk or worse as a result? Anybody know?

Also, does anyone know how the point system worked? I'd like to know why Exanor came forth for example and I wouldn't even have know about this thing if KelsoBrooks hadn't posted at Varin's site.

Thinking about it I'm not sure I solved any of the later stuff myself Sad. I was well on my way but others here at UF got there first. Do you think it was just down to who responded first?

Personally I think we should call this result for UF and all who posted here. After all we scored more highly than many of the subscription players!

This is unfiction, just think of it as a puzzle!
I'm with you on this one Colin!

It's not a problem. I got both a T-Shirt and cheque in the mail from the first GO and have never gotten any other junk from them. They're pretty legit.

Yup. That's the way the other ones have worked with them, anyway. That's the only reason I won the first one, since I got a response email to them on the last puzzle first (thanking my time zone, for once). It's obviously not a great way to gauge the best player, though, as someone may come up with a great solve but not reply first.

cool

Definitely a win for the UF collective!

I also received a t-shirt (Xtra Large !?! - while one size may technically fit all, it appears I get lost somewhere between the neck and sleeve of this thing!) - and have not heard from them since. I've had no problems with them...... yet (scary organ chord).

I got the X-Large too. Which of course made my husband think that he could have it. I quickly informed him that there was no way I was gonna let him sweat all over my prize at band practice. Very Happy

As an interesting footnote, VQ 4.0 is complete. It seems the corporate client was BASF.
