The words should be in the order posted but you need to capitalise the first letter of each word for the URL

Note, the title above should have been Piece24

I have had a reply from Golden Jigsaw

This is the reply I got from my mail to them:

Quote:
Thank you for your reply, I appreciate you being concerned enough to respond - this says a lot about your commitment to the game.
I think your sentiment is right and you've raised some very important issues.

There's an obvious need here for some mid-way communication between a rule being broken and the removal of an account.
Simply deleting account without first sending a warning, whilst within the limits of the terms & conditions, evidently could send the wrong message out.
A 'warning' email also provides a private thread between us and the player(s) in question, to thrash out any issues and remove any problems, before any further action be taken, so that is how we shall proceed from here.

I will advise you however that our actions yesterday were in response to numerous players voicing their concerns, rather than us just trying to put a stamp on the proceedings, as you alluded to in your email.

It is our ongoing mission to uphold the integrity of the game for both players and site owners alike, that led to the action we took.

I should inform you that these actions ought to be treated as a warning, rather than an absolute, in this instance.

I'd like to warmly invite you to reinstate your profile and rejoin the game at your nearest convenience, without prejudice.

For the purposes of clarification, we've put together these guidelines to assist with understanding how to stick within the terms of play:
No Asking For Links - Please do not ask for the links to the pieces or the websites involved. It is against the rules to give them out, and thus against the rules to ask!
No URL Spoilers - Don't post links directly to websites / puzzle piece locations - it's more fun to solve it for yourself & you won't encounter any copyright issues (see below).
No Direct Clues or Spoilers – Don't post anagram answers or direct methods of obtaining the puzzle pieces. Subtle hints and tips are fine.
No Reposting Website Clues - Please do not post the clues that are found on the websites containing the puzzle pieces or the main Golden Jigsaw site.
No Image Hosting – Imagery, whether belonging to The Golden Jigsaw or our participating websites is subject to international copyright law, dealt with below...
No Flaming or Abusive behaviour – An obvious common courtesy.
No Copyright Infringement – No images, content, domain names or other proprietary information can be taken from The Golden Jigsaw website (www.goldenjigsaw.com) or any participating websites. The Golden Jigsaw & it's advertisers are protected by international copyright laws and can be actioned in any territory.
We'd ask that you stick to them if you wish to continue enjoying The Golden Jigsaw game.

The rules of the game are designed to protect players and have been very carefully considered so that the game can reach it's successful conclusion for all concerned.

There may be additional details in the Terms & Conditions which affect player conduct as well, so I'd advise looking there to ensure you understand how they affect you.

Best regards,

Don Campbell

So what this basically means is we have to be very carefull on how close the clues are that we share in public, I guess the catch word in the guidelines is "subtle" and how that word is interpreted by both players and the organizers.

I have though sent a further reply to clarify some of the original rules they had in place to see how they effect group or team entrants:

Quote:
hello and thank you for both a timely and helpful reply,

Before reinstating my player profile I would like a little further clarification on a couple of points that have been raised:

1, Your rules originally stated that it was a breach of the rules to share clues and answers to the location of pieces via email, how does this relate to internet teams and group participants, the reason I ask this is because there are a number of people I know collaborating to solve this puzzle and for them to be breaking the rules and risking exclusion of eligibility of collecting the prize for working as a team sharing their work by emails seems to be very questionable, so please confirm that

a, group / team efforts are acceptable even though the team leader would be the registered player.

b, participants within a team can share the information to enable that team to work fully together in solving the puzzle including sharing links and answers to clues by email or messenger.

2, All actions and postings that breached the previous rules that pre-dated your guidelines in your reply by all players would be wiped clean and any deleted accounts would be eligible for reinstatement on the understanding that players understand and adhere to the current guidelines as set out in your reply.

I know 2 sounds a little blanket styled but it is mainly for the attention of fellow members of the forum that was identified and targeted where my own account was deleted from as I have of course posted the happenings for their information and it would be good to close that thread off with the confirmation from you of the situation as it now stands.

Many thanks again for your reply and I am sure what I have asked in this mail has already been considered by yourself and you can reply in a similarly timely fashion.

Will let you know again of any reply I get on confirming those points.

Just on the gaming side clue 10 ad finding the piece was an anogramists wet dream role on simple product clues again Razz

Clue 2 is an anagram of two words on the page you arrive at after clicking to register.
the word you require is the one that comes before the anagram answer.

I knew what I was looking for, just couldn't find it. I finally did, thanks, and am going out to soak up some 102 degree rays.
I was able to get this on my own earlier, but just wanted some clarification. But while waitiing for it, I found it. I'll just keep searching next time before asking anything

And is also not a whole, but a...

BTW

IRC1968, I for one, and I guess many others are focused intently on your posts. How can TGJ objectively determine at which point a 'clue' breaks their rules?

This is, um, laughable.

Quote:
Can I copyright my domain name?
Copyright law does not protect domain names. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), a nonprofit organization that has assumed the responsibility for domain name system management, administers the assignation of domain names through accredited registers.

Domain names are simple strings of words with a TLD attached, nothing more. If anyone threatens you with anything related to copyright, and all you've done is link to their site, then it's as if the complaint was delivered by unicorn.

Now, as far as the rest of this email goes, I'm (personally, not administratively) disappointed that these people are bullying their players into accepting rules post-registration. Now, if the Perplexorum has an agreement with the game creators, and choose to amend their existing rules for members to appease the team at goldenjigsaw.com (see? no copyright!), then that's their business. As members here, it is my understanding (both administratively and personally) that as long as you conduct yourselves within the TOS of Unfiction, then you are free to discuss any and all topics that a game may elicit.

If members of Unfiction are being targeted by the GJ powers-that-be because of their affiliation with this site, that would indeed be a shame. From what I've seen so far (and not just here), it sure seems that way.
