No, the fan behind that site was one of the first to get pics of the poster and post them on the Internet. She decided to put a watermark on her pics to make sure that she got credit for them. The posters themselves do not have this watermark.

It's been discussed. I think we've determined that the angle of the shot made her appear backwards, but is in fact facing the right way.

The one thing I don't get is that in the trailer its night time but the poster shows it as daytime....just a thought.

The poster depicts dawn following the attack, imo.

Good point but it might be because the poster is time lapsed

Dawn.....i can see that....but i still think if they left out the rippels in the water, the poster would make more sense. Also there is still pieces falling off the SOL as if it just got hit............in my opinion it really just doesn't seem to make any sense at all.

A poster depicting the night time isn't as appealing or full of color as a poster of the day time. It's just a marketing thing. I wouldn't look too far into it.

As has been previously mentioned, don't take the poster to be an accurate depiction of events. It's there to be dramatic and sell the movie to you.

I don't know, a night poster like this is mighty appealing!

Well, setting aside appeal for the moment... you can show more damage and destruction in a poster set during daytime.
Although if there were a night poster, all you'd likely see is the decapitated Statue of Liberty, and a gap in the lights in the buildings where the monster went through. You could possibly get a bit more detail of the damaged section were on fire... but overall I think a daytime poster works out better then a nighttime one.
