Yes, this has been discovered. Not *every* discovery will be discussed in this super-long thread, as there are now *several* discussion threads open on specific topics. The photos in the teaser site have their own thread here for starters.

The graphic on that new site is an image titled weweresafe.jpg.

Examining the page source shows very little, nothing worth of noting.

EDIT: just did a whois on this site; think it might be IG, not completely positive though.

oops nvm, if it does hav sumthin to do with this movie, it certainly not saying much

please use your common sense, people. Everything created after July 3rd, 2007 is 100% OOG. Plus, this image appears in other websites and is tied to the Flying Spaghetti Monster (thanks to sapagoo for that one).
A site is never intended to be vaguely IG. If it's IG, we'll know. Everything that's IG so far has been clearly IG. There were no doubts. Once we saw the real sites, we knew it.

Not entirely true- the Myspace pages are post 7/3 Smile

NY1 News

Not sure if its been mentioned, but i did a search and didnt see anything about it.

In the trailer the time in the box shows 12:32 AM. NY1 news does not show AM or PM next to the time. I doubt its just a way for the film makers to show its night time since its pretty obvious that its not 12:32 in the afternoon.

Pretty much every domain registered after July 3rd will be OOG. Content on existing sites however, are the good exception.

NY1 is a real news station in New York City. (I live in Brooklyn.) The graphics on the screen in the trailer look very much like the real thing.

Here's today's weather at the NY1 web site for an example:
http://www.ny1.com/ny1/Weather/index.jsp

It's perfectly normal for them to go without the am/pm. This saves space graphically and increases readability. And do you really need to be told?

Yeah, but that's different. And the Myspace pages were also clearly IG from the first moment. The minute I saw Jamie Lascano's friend list, I knew it was IG. No one so far has created a red herring that occupied us for more than 5 minutes (except Ethan Haas, but that was it's own ARG, so naturally it kept us occupied. It also never claimed to be IG.)

Also, the myspace pages were created on June 13th.

They've had updates that are POST-July 3rd, but they were created long before that.

IESB claims that they have new behind-the-scenes footage from the cloverfield set. They've posted their own teaser video on their site, which includes more self-promotion than actual footage, saying they'll release the complete footage tomorrow. You know, instead of releasing it all today because apparently they need the hype to attract more people to their site.

And for people who may get more behind the scenes footage in the future - don't edit the hell out of it. Raw footage will be significantly more useful to the community than something that excludes even a single frame, throws the timeline of events out of order and includes rediculous amounts of self-promotion. And avoid IESB in the future, since it seems they'll ruin your footage for you and drag out the release for promotional purposes. I'm sure they weren't the only people with cameras at the Masters of the Web panel, someone else should trump their exclusive and release the full footage before them, if only to spite.

Its just to get you to go to their website. I mean, look at how many people are quickly becoming obsessed with this. Just like The Parasite, its fake. There are going to be a lot of fake sites for a while.

my issue with the whole thing, still centers around the Temp in the trailer.

63 degrees is about 25+ over the median temperature for NYC in January. And its obviously late in the evening, at the time when you'd expect the temp to be the lowest.... Average highs/lows are - 39 / 26 degrees.

I think this has more to do with the creatures origin than anything, and may even help explain why certain people in the trailer seem to not be overly surprised....as though something was going on globally....
