[META] Slusho looks lame..... Okay, everything about this movie sounds and looks amazing. But that said, the Slusho site looks like it can kill the movie.
Anyone agree?

Did you ever buy that poster? *Smirk* Anyway, it won't kill the movie because it's for the game...

I have a friend getting it for me from Comic Con. It's free that way...

It would be incredibly difficult for the Slusho site to kill the movie. The Slusho site, a relatively obscure bit of marketing aimed at the viral crowd, woud have to have a massive effect on the public at large, the vast majority of which likely have never even heard of the site.
There would need to be a major publicity campaign before there was enough public awareness of the site for the site to have any meaningful effects, positive or negative.

I kinda like the contrast of something as "cute" as the Slusho site being the possible source of a catastrophe. The best flavor Slusho is irony!

You're actually the first person I've noticed who thinks the Slusho site can be a problem, luwho...
I don't believe there's anything to worry about from it.
Why do you think it could kill the movie?

What you all don't understand is that Slusho looks cute and lame because it's supposed to.
All Japanese promotions pretty much looks like that. This is coming from the same country that makes "Hello Kitty" vibrators and a "poke me in the ass" stand-up video game.
Just accept it.

You know, MrToasty... I'm seldom one to question how people find links. But how in the name of all that is holy did you stumble onto a "poke-me-in-the-ass" game? Makes GTA a lot more tame...

Heh heh... Actually I tend to make my rounds of the gadget and video game sites every morning. I remember seeing this on no less than four sites on or around the same day. I think it was linked on Blue's News the first time I came across it. I was working with a couple Japanophiles at the time so they got a real kick out of it. The PainStation from Germany was big on the kitsch news then too.
It was only a matter of googling "Japan poke game" to find it again though.
