[SPEC] Could it be talking? I've watched the trailer over and over, and I think that the monster may actually be saying something. I don't know what, but some people have said he's saying "Yahweh." He could be saying something else from the bible like "Come and See."
Thoughts?

my $.02 - when the lights cut out (during that horrid "woman" song) the creature/monster is yawning- it's finally waking up.
Some other great theories have been shared, and as I've been told- searching is much more kosher than starting a new thread and asking.
one of my favorite ideas though (not mine, forgot who wrote it) is the earthquake and "sound" w/the blackout is the Earth moaning at the arrival of the monster.

I don't think that religion is going to play much of a role in a movie like this.

I've heard that he practiced Nepotism, but you never know!
I don't think it really should have any relevance to the film, he didn't write it, he just came up with the idea.....just like on LOST.

nepotism? isn't that when two people of different seniorities are working at the same company that have a private relationship outside of said company? and isn't it illegal?

No, nepotism usually refers to showing favoritism towards relatives based on that relationship (rather than ability). So, if JJA were to hire his sister to work for his company, Bad Robot, then that might be seen as nepotism, particularly if she has no experience in the film biz. In most cases, it is not illegal. It can also be used to refer to very close friends.

I think you're so caught in the forest that you can't see the trees, homeboy.

I was thinking the same thing when I watched the trailer for the second time, while looking and listening for some possibly extra stuff. It sounded like some wierd word that I have never heard of. Probably nothing, but maybe its really a huge walking robot capable of speech which is unknown to us! RUN!

The church of "has specifically said he will NEVER use religion in any of his projects, so pretty much all the religious tie-ins folks keep seeing are barking up the wrong tree". It's one of the lesser known denominations.
