Awesome job Cloverfan - thanks a bunch from La!

So they're doing the NY aftermath scenes here....I suppose then that the 3rd pic (911ish) came from the LA shoot? Question: We know about Rob and co living in NY and encountering the Monstrous...and true they could just shoot footage in LA that will represent NY in the final piece but it does raise the question: what if NY isn't the only place getting attacked on 1-18...LA could be getting theirs too ya know? Just considering pic 3's relevance on 1-18 site....it's obviously taken already from a previous shoot, but if they're doing aftermath in NY now it must've come from LA? Any LA people familiar with anything that is in the pic - as in, could it be referencing an event in LA instead of just film location?

Giant Willy Wonka Cheese Whiz Monster Eats NYC on a cracker and washes it down with a giant cup o slusho?

Surely not.

heres a thought...the pass said chocolate outrage...
one of the robot flavors or w/e on the slusho site is called chocolate rage

It also says specifically that the mystery ingredient is the base, these mix flavors are added in. So when you select your combos, the lotus spins and drops into the cup first....base??

Cheese - fish. Don't remember offhand but are any of those flavors any sort of knock off of fish and / or cheese, which could suggest another flavor that should be added for the right one, along with chocolate? Which, for the record, fish, cheese and chocolate is just gross. I wouldn't drink that shit.

lotus is locust without a few letters....locust is end of the world type stuff....My god I'm just thinking too much! Smile

But, the base ingredient of slusho could be a clue as well.....how to get that as proof is beyond my skills. =)

Lotus flower....*thinks a bit*

Peace.

Since I haven't processed through any of the pictures from IMDB yet, I'll just throw all of my analysis in one post as I go:

This image has a guy with what appears to be a bottle of either green tea or gasoline in his hand. Whatever the contents, we see the exact same bottle in the teaser trailer, on the table during "What are you going to do without Rob, he's like your main dude."

This image would have made a nice addition to 1-18-08.com. It's JJ, Rob and Lily, and they're happy that New York is being destroyed by the huge spaghetti monster. Oh yeah, they're also wearing their fateful night wardrobes.

Ambulance with taped lettering

Confused
I'm rather puzzled about the taped up letters on the side of the ambulance. Anyone know why they might have done that, but left the A & E of AMBULANCE uncovered?

I skimmed all 11 pages and did not see where anyone mentioned the phone# on that one pic. Well, I googled 212-471-3552.

Check this out:

Maybe it's a monster spoof!? LOL!

That's pretty… "Cheese"y if it is. Wink

No shit. Laughing Mr. Green

But what are all these names about? Where did chocolate come from?

Not quite sure exactly where the Chocolate name came from, but when they were filming at what i believe was the Santa Monica mall (in California) quite awhile ago it was given the same codename: Chocolate. Keep in mind this was about a week or so after the trailer premiered during the Transformers movie.

It's from the slusho flavor Chocolate Rage. Also the passes, to get into the set, have the words Chocolate Outrage.

Crew members rock. They know a little bit about it it. I spoke with one and they have confirmed all thoughts on it. Here's more tidbits of information. Today is the first day of the shoot here in NYC. They will finish tonight. The post about them wrapping in NYC and starting soon in LA is completely reverse. They just completed filming in LA and just started here today. The cast is definitely out there. The guy with the SLUSHO shirt is the guy from the preview, they live at The Orchard (refer to cloverfan's videos/pictures) and they run down Orchard street.

Again, this is what I was told, not necessarily 100% true. (major issue I see is the placement with what appears to be the Empire state building in the background of the end of the trailer, yet as we all know, the Empire state is much farther than that picture leads you to believe). Go and have fun with the information.

The Empire State Building was lit up green in the trailer, and appeared briefly when the black guy was talking about 'tremors'. The building seen behind 401 Broadway when the head of the Statue of Liberty hits it is the Woolworth Building as revealed in past posts.

I'd really doubt it if any of the events we'll see are depicted in anywhere but New York, not after how NY-centric the trailer and poster are.

I don't believe shooting footage in LA suggests that some events may actually take place in LA as LA has doubled as the rest of the world for years now. Having a NY set on a LA soundstage simply allows them to have total reign over a street that they couldn't do in NY. Given the 9/11 similarities they may have felt it best to do the 'full aftermath destruction' in Hollywood.

It also means they don't need to keep cleaning and opening the street, then closing it and covering it with debris which would be really costly.

It's so it doesn't get mistaken for a real FDNY ambulance. The tape would come off once shooting began.

Few films are actually shot in sequence, so whilst there will likely be a degree of 'inaccurate' New York there's the additional factor that scenes are obviously going to be shot out of sequence until their work wraps, and it then goes in the right order after the editing.

I believe it would be illegal to drive it through New York City with visible markings, even if it were for a movie. The markings are revealed for shooting and immediately covered up once shooting is completed.

on set..

I was on the Orchard/Stanton set pretty much the entire time last night, very interesting to see first hand. From what I'd witnessed, they were shooting a mock, live news piece - reporter, interviews, frightened, dirty, bloody citizens, etc. I couldn't really hear all of what was exchanged between the reporter and whom he was interviewing, but the action was odd..at one point it seemed as if he'd asked the entire group a question, then grandually more and more extras would raise their hands..as if they were volunteering for something...very dramatic.
