Work. Hahaha. That's funny. Work. I know I'm not going to get any work done at all today.

On an unrelated note... what program do you guys use to notify you if a site changes or is updated?

I was using change notes but I'm not impressed with them- they only check a site for changes once a day and don't email you the notification like promised- now the site's not even up and working any more it seems. I haven't found a better one- I used one on The Lost Experience and it worked great but I don't remember what it was and I don' seem to have the book mark anymore so if you find a good one, let me know!!

I had one once, while waiting for tickets to Serenity prescreenings to go on sale. Downloaded it to the desktop and it would watch any site you put in. It reported a site change every hour or so, when nothing really altered, but when the tickets actually went on sale, it was about 5-10 minutes behind. The number of changes though drastically went up and it would probably be just perfect for this. However...I've not a clue what it was called. Hrm. I'm no help.

I swallowed my spazzy fears and called both Van's number and Triton's (being TERRIFIED of the phone in real life, I felt very proud of myself Laughing .) Van's had the same message twice in a row, though the first time I called Triton there was just one ring and then it stopped. I couldn't tell if someone had picked up or not, it was just like someone put the ringer on silent. Upon a second try I got the normal message, so who knows if it was the phone or something more.

Been lurking for a bit here. Anyways, I was on myspace, and typed in ethan haas, and found a profile. On this profile it has the names of the Cas. Stars, so i started plugging em into my address bar. I tried them forward, then decided to try them backward. I found this site: http://kafram.com/ . I believe it is related in some form, is it?

nope, and the Ethan Haas profile is a fan-created hoax too. It has some actual stuff, but it's totally fan created.
Oh and kafram.com...

I whois'd it and the information given leads me to say that it definetly has nothing to do with ethan haas...

That's Arabic.

When looking at MySpace profiles and the like, the first thing you need to check is when they were actually created. On MySpace I think you can see this in the blog view.

If it was created after all this started, you can be pretty sure it's not part of the game. "Puppetmasters", as they are called, prepare things well in advance (or else someone in the public may ruin their plans), so all the pieces should be in place well before execution.

For example, and by this example I am not making any connection, look at the "Cloverfield" MySpace blogs. They were created almost a month before the trailer came out. Many "gamejacks" have come since then, all of which were created after the trailer was first seen in theaters.
