No pieces today

Seems that today is a wildcard day where someone can win £50, (funny that it is now in pounds and not $'s)

Puzzlers, There's No Piece Today...
It's time for Wildcard Number 1!

The first player to correctly solve today's wildcard
will win £50!!!

Well, I've only figured out two clues:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Nurse got = Sturgeon
As heroes = Seahorse

Where to go next is anyone's guess. Confused

Aaaaand apparently the first wildcard is over, with wildcard #2 coming in approx. 37 minutes.

Any chance of sharing the wild card clues at some point?
And I assume it is definitive that they aren't releasing a piece today.

If the clue goes up at a certain time, I wonder what the chances are that the site won't crash before everyone gets on? At least that might be slightly more fair than sending out emails that arrive at different times.

The second wildcard:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Hattee Plait Album, by Wemilk Ski is what jangled Whit's ego.
Is using the precious raft for the isotopic mint ok?

So far, I have decoded the first sentence:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Ultimate Alphabet, by Mike Wilks is what The Golden Jigsaw.

And yes, I know the sentence syntax doesn't work.

The first wildcard:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
As East Mice watched A Sad Diva Roll, the Nurse Got excited As Heroes came to aid.

I have some ideas for the second sentence, but they don't work yet...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I using the s picture for the contest ok?

Can't quite get it... Sad

From the GJ website:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Mike has kindly licensed one of his original alphabet illustrations to us for the Golden Jigsaw. This particular one is the letter 'S', reputed to be the trickiest in the book, and certainly the one with the most things in!

Might help Wink

It's the stupid "ok" on the end that's bugging me. Confused

Hey, anything that gets rid of the "ok" is a good guess in my book :p
