I've never played an ARG so I don't know how they work, but isn't the whole idea with the myspace pages and everything supposed to involve some consistency - between the fictional world and the real world (I mean, y'know, apart from the monster)? What's the point of guessing about anything otherwise? The pictures we're seeing on 1-18-08 are supposed to have been taken during the party in the trailer and then during the attack afterward; so, the writing on the backs of the photos has to be part of that narrative as well, right? So, there has to be a plausible explanation - within the rules of that narrative - for those comments to be written on the backs of the photos. And, concordantly, ergo, vis-a-vis... those comments could only have been written at the party, so they could give the photos to Rob to take w/him to Japan. I can't think of any other explanation.

Or, is that not how these things work... Confused ("Or, do I owe her an apology?" - Will Smith, Men in Black).

I think some of you does... So y dont you analize the pics, the trailer and the pages on this...

in the trailer:

-has anyone noticed, that Rob is looking into the bath (i think its the bath), as he came in

-whats about the background of all those who say goodbye to Rob?

-especially that one(i dont know whats his name (he says "this gonna be the best night ever" at the end)) ...look at the curtain theres a sign (left of him)

-what is it with the 2 planets at the back of this "chinese Guy"

-at this "main-dude-thing" look at the fridge...there are maaaaaaaany photos and stuff for digussing

-after the first "roaarr" the woman said "It's that the beginning?", but I think its just misheard^^

-this 2004-ace <---this has to be st to do with it...investigate it more...much more

-the car-sign as well

-and what is paintet with graffiti at the back of the sign, which is shown with the head of the statue?

-Why is the "this is gonna be the best night ever"-guy in a different camera perspective, than before?

This is my first ARG as well... although there's members here who can say that at the moment it isn't actually an ARG yet.

Maybe I am injecting too much 'reality' into it... I just don't feel that there's any time in the trailer for them to print the photos, despite the slight jumps in time.

But that's me.

I could understand it being something done the day after the party before Rob left for Japan... but I just see it that it was lost because of the events involving the monster.


Additionally, I feel that the writing is there specifically for the internet mystery and the members here participating in it and not neccesarily the movie events.



But that's just me...


Krossi, problem with that idea is that there's a good chance stuff that isn't actually a clue may be mistaken as a clue... such as the grafitti.

This one I can answer. I looked at both "You owe me 11 dollars" and "This is going to be the best night ever" scenes carefully. He's actually standing in the far left corner of the kitchen of the apartment in both scenes. Both scenes were probably part of the same uncut interview. Just credit the different camera perspectives as creative license by Abrams to put the "this is going to be the best night ever" quote at the end of the trailer instead of chronological order, because it sounds better at the end. I still don't know what the sign on the wall to the right of the guy says, and I'm not going to pursue it any farther for lack for relevance.

And they are not relying on us on Myspace for the backstory. The backstory is likely a bonus we get for following this stuff in the months before the movie. The people who don't follow this stuff but go to the movie anyways will get to see the American version of Godzilla, only better (hopefully); while we will be rewarded with the main character's backstories and the priviledge to link together all of the events with the actual movie - hopefully, the events that create the monster and the events that led to the miraculous solution for destroying it. But to the point again, there's staff that's responsible for the slow and deliberate release of the backstory. If we don't end up figuring something out, they will eventually spell it out for us.

 		The picture with the two girls
I know this has been said numerous times about the picture with the two girls. Some argue its a "demon," others claim it is simply strands of hair.

Right after I saw this trailer and found some scoop, I read dozens of stuff on the photo and the arguments on its hair/its not hair.

So, I went to Picasa and added fill light.
It's obviously not hair. But, that's not what I'm here to say.



I posted something about it on my blog,
but didn't know about this place until recently.
So this may have been discussed ages ago...

Perhaps the "figure" in between those two women is a gargoyle.
But, wait. I mean an inanimate one...I am not saying this is the creature.

Remember this creature is destroying the city.
So, maybe it threw a gargoyle off of a building top somewhere
and that's what is sitting behind them...a gargoyle statue.

I know people have said it is a gargoyle, but they think that that
is the actual creature itself...I believe its just one more thing the creature threw around.

And if this was said before, I apologize for wasting your time.

Because I look at that and don't see hair.

It's hair.
It's just frizzy hair. don't focus on one spot in the picture focus on the whole thing and you'll see it.
