True Romance

True Romance: 1993 gangster movie

Summary on reel.com:

A pair of young lovers cook up a plan to waste the girl's pimp, steal his coke, sell it for big Benjamins and then retire south of the border in this offbeat Quentin Tarantino-scripted shoot-em-up. But their scheme derails and the two lovebirds find themselves running from some very bad men looking to even the score.

Thus the reference in his blog to "joes" and "crackwhores"...

Christopher Walken in is the cast (that's the last comment in the email.)

His character is "a mob boss who wants his cocaine back" according to [htm=http://entertainment.msn.com/movies/movie.aspx?m=27489]msn[/url].

AND GET THIS! There's also a character called "Drexl"...here's a quote from the same review:

"However, Alabama is certain her pimp, Drexl (Gary Oldman), will not be happy; he's an ill-mannered sort with mob connections and a fondness for violence. Chivalrous Clarence offers to break the news to Drexl and collect her belongings, but he doesn't tell her he also plans to kill Drexl while he's there; a melee breaks out that leaves Drexl and his henchmen dead."..........and in Drexel's blog he mentions on 3/16 "Maybe my death will make my words important again."

"So yes, we may find out more info, but it will be the "crackwhore's" IP that the terrorists see"...also on 3/16's entry. the whore in the movie is Alabama. Probably refers to the state.

haven't figured out the peach or the snow reference yet

In the movie Clarence says Alabama is a peach.."she event astes like a peach."

And the snow, i think, is a reference to the cocaine Clarence steals from Drexl, which he then attempts to sell in Hollywood.

Here is a link to the script. A good movie. You should check it out sometime.

I have seen the film, but I thought the rest of the paragraph was referring to other pop culture, whoops!

It looks like we've got two identical threads going on here. Is there anyway we can merge them?

There is no possible way to merge existing posts, only to split them.

The True Romance references were what led to the blog according to the other thread on the email, it's already been solved.

lousy speller for a reason?

I am feeling kinda silly but I noticed that in Drexels blog and his IM messages that he misspells quite alot of words for example in this one

Quote:
Forty-Seven hours staight now. I have now consumed 68 liters of cola in that time. When my eyes need a break from the screen I take the two liter bottles and build stuff with them for a few minutes. Amazing what can be made of these things. I can actually construct a shelter. On that doesn't leak like this miserable studio. I haven't got by the security, but I did get past one layer. These kids need to be more inventive when coming up with passwords. To simple. He used a mother's maiden name as a password. Well, I am just need to peel the onion. My only worry is Ideltech finds a way to trace me. I am bouncing off so many broadband cable connections there is little chance, but I still worry. So far they don't enven know I have my right foot in the house. Let us keep it that way

he has misspelled or misused
staight
on
to
am
enven

*edit*
I know that I am stretching it a little but it reminds me of the directions on how to get to never never land....
"Second star to the right, and straight on until morning." - The directions to Never Never Land, which Peter Pan gives to Wendy, John, and Michael Darling in Walt Disney's Peter Pan. William Shatner quoted it as the last line in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

Trail question

I'm still catching up here.
I finally read all the posts

This is my question: did we find the trail he mentioned in the blog? Or still searching?

my second question: did anyone else read

http://drexel.blogspot.com/

one of the places grumpy boy found? I think that Rhett and Eddie are the same person, just in case anyone was thinking that Pam (scarlett) was, well, whatever they might be thinking. I hate to admit it, but I find these people intriguing. Maybe it's the way they call each other by their code name but the signature shows their "real" name. Any hope they are in-game?? Laughing
