Last Day It's over I guess Well, I ended up with 16 sightings (got the last 4).
I am wishing they had some kind of splash screen at the end saying "Contratulations you have finished searching for Bourne"; remember to visit your theater on August 3rd to continue the journey. Watch for the announcement of the winners, and "click here" (for the trailer).
But they didn't.

Unused clue One more thing - Did we ever use the clue on daternotes that says "You_ need_ me" on the left hand column? I don't remember ever using that - or did I forget. What was it for?

Remember that if you read the official rules, you can still send in a postcard if you did not achieve at least 22 sightings. If you send one in, they will automatically give you the needed points.

The last mission does not even have anything to do with the fact that its URL is an anagram of Treadstone...
I think we might be missing something.

My first thought is that we are missing something, but then again the whole time each mission was the obvious, so I don't think there is anything more to it. I kept looking too deep thinking there was going to be a hard question at the end and came up with my theory that it has something to do with the word Ally or Allies. I kept coming across it hidden in different areas, and some people were actually called "Ally" in our incoming messages, and some people were not.
I thought we were going to have to name a traitor or something, but I was overthinking the entire time.
All these things to throw us off?
Clue: Treadstone All Lies = Treadstone ALLIES
On the image labled liedetection, the word "Normal" and "Lie" when put together = Norm Allie
Daternotes = Treadstone
Touareg = Outrage

Good job on catching those things but I felt like this ARG was too straightforward to actually have any deep meaning. I also didn't like the fact that it was like a wild goose chase. Bourne is in London, oh no wait, Bourne is in America now.
I wanted more depth; they should have given us more information about the character's personal life or some type of reward for playing the game like something major about the movie that we would catch on to when we actually watch it.

Having just seen the film (which is fun, silly, pretty violent and you need to take sea sickness pills to cope with the camera shake and editing) I was smiling a little to myself at some of the payoffs from what we have being playing and how they fit. Such as 415.
The film was fun for me in that I know New York and London pretty well and have spent a lot of time in Waterloo station so know exactly what it is like. Even down to frequenting the offie (sorry, liquor store) in the station and knowing that it's in the middle of the concourse and not at the side as suggested. The poor women next to me wondered why I laughed at that point.
PS orbzy - there are only 2 key urls in game, the searchforbourne and daternotes site and both are still there. I think everything is documented pretty well in the thread. And the game finishes in just under 2 hours.

I just saw it tonight as well, and I liked it a lot... but the excessive zoom-shakey cam action scenes really take away from the impressiveness of the choreography and such, and I'm sure there will be some notes about 'motion sickness' again. *sigh*
But overall, I loved the subdued intensity of Bourne/Damon as the action hero. Very nicely done!

Go back today. You'll have your splash screen of "Congratulations! Type in your zip code for showtimes!"

Well, how about that! Now we know it's over for sure. I feel alot better now that I am not left hanging. If you follow some of the links, there are some great screensavers and backgrounds.

Hahaha!
I was just looking over the rules to see when they had said the drawing would happens (on or around August 17th, by the way), and I caught this under section 6: Winner Requirements:
Quote:
. If a Canadian resident is selected as a potential winner, to comply with Canadian law he/she must correctly answer a time based, mathematical skill-testing question to be eligible for a prize.
What?!? What Canadian law is this ?

I'm no expert and I'm not from Canada but I guess it is to differentiate from a game of skill and a game of chance, isn't it something to do with taxes.
