Right- I don't think this springs us into ARG territory quite yet, either. This goes back to the "what is the question?" question.

My thoughts on a couple ways for this to turn into an ARG: 1) A story needs to coalesce from their responses to us, or 2) A secondary source of information needs to pop up, like a communication from Satoshi or Ganu or something, that tells us what the question is. Once we know what questions to ask, our myspace friends could suddenly become very useful.

I sent her a message that the guy obsessed with Japan is Rob Hawkins and I gave her his myspace url.

Notice that the transfer is happening in January, when Rob is going to Japan in the trailer.




Flaming Nutter Dude, I think EVERYONE has noted that it happens in January, and this point seems so obvious, we're pretty much assuming OOG. Its probably just another gamejack. The IG sites have been un-questioningly so. I just hope we don't miss a real site by flaming to soon. Any-who, Its probably OOG, but who knows? It just doesn't fit, IMHO

Huds, headline mentions an Oliver Platt. Funny, but Oliver Platt is an actor who was in a feww interesting projects, namly "The Bronx is Burning" and "Liberty Stands Still". Important? Probablly not. But, strange nonetheless.

 		don't have time to post gifs or jpegs, but I have received a reply from Beth--I'd asked her about what sort of mask she wears (as in, everyone wears masks...) Her response:

I have sent messages to Jamie (who is the only of the 7 to have friended me so far), Rob, Lil and a reply back to Beth. Should any get interesting, I will add them here.

Might be worth noting (as I hadn't seen anyone else say so), that LenaDia appears to be the only one who won't accept messages/emails from her profile. Although I suspect that's an indication of her character, based on her 'who I'd like to meet' section.

"Hi - I'm new to myspace. I noticed you like the Hitchhiker's Guide books by Douglas Adams. So do I. If you like those, you'd love Terry Pratchett - he's another British author with a similar sense of humor. You should check him out. Smile "

Here's what she just sent me back:

"Oh, I love the Discworld series. I have to get help reading them, though ... I don't get very many of the pop culture jokes."~_~

Do you know about H.P lovecraft? I was told that I should read his books if I like Discworld ... but I haven't had a chance yet."

I'm banking Sarah Nettleute is someone behind the scenes. They will probably link almost all the pictures from there, and this is the general bucket, as opposed to making one for each character.

Yeah, I'm new too, but game jack is the right term, refers to someone pretending to be IG (in game) But who is OOG (Out of game)

As for Ameya... Reeks of gamejack. But, maybe I'm just to cynical from the weeks of faulty speculation poured into cloverfield/1-18-08/overnight/parasite/Cthulu/behemoth/Voltron/Powerranger/evilFurbie madness that this is to see the truth.

Beware we don't accidentally flame a real site as OOG lest we miss our vital clue!!!

EDIT: I'd also like to say that regardless of its status as a gamejack, the above message about lovecraft is ridiculous. Lovecraft and Pratchett have completely different writing styles anout practically oposite subject matter. The only thing they have in common is Pratchett occasionally parodys HP.

I doubt the characters are aware of the site or anything having to do with it; except Slusho.
