 		[OT] Halo: Ghosts of Onyx related? (spoilers)
I finished reading it, there's plenty of information on the Forerunner near the end of the book.

This topic is for discussion of the book and it's clues toward IRIS.

(Labeled SPEC for possible information)
(Labeled as INFO if that information helps us)

SPOILERS ARE IN BOUND

For example:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Onyx itself is a Forerunner made structure, much like the Halos. At the core of the planet was supposedly an area filled with Forerunner technology and weapons.

 		I thought about being nice, then changed my mind.

This thread is useless, superfluous, contains dated information, and is inaccurate. Ghosts of Onyx has been out for ages, the only thing Onyx has in common with the Halo installations is that both were built by the Forerunners, your 'spoilers' can be found by reading Wikipedia, and it's not been confirmed that the micro-Dyson sphere contains tech and weapons; that was a lie of Dr. Halsey's to lure UNSC support and a SPARTAN-II strike team.

Location: Alabama... sigh.

 		The only big question that remains about Onyx is: Why didn't the Forerunners survive in the Dyson sphere? Maybe it was sabatoged by someone, or something (CI?). That, or the very last rag-tag group of Forerunner were the ones to activate the Halos.

Who said they didn't survive? I'm still convinced that the forerunner were human.

Oh BTW, and interesting tid bit I found out. In The Flood book, it is mentioned that the Prophets evolved on the same planet as the Forerunner. So...something survived from within the Halos blast radius.

In the books, it says the Prophets and Elites were on planets that had Forerunner technology. They fight, and eventually form the Covenant. I think the humans were meant to be on the Prophet's planet to learn about Forerunner culture and "reclaim" it.

 		The construct, I think, was to at least give some sort of species (maybe the Forerunners) to exist and be safe from the Halo blasts, wiping out the Flood (and everything else that could be food for the Flood). We know that the SPARTAN-IIIs are appearing in Halo 3.
