Not the best I've seen but I'm not very good with the old school program we have on our computer. So if you know of a good program I could download for free post it here or PM me please.

Haven't used the gimp. Bought Paint Shop Pro X. You can search for the demo download, and I think it's $60 to buy, I love it, stand by it, refuse to try Adobe. Too expensive!!
