 		So in a desperate fit of needing to understand wtf is going on, I tried to find anyone who was listed under all accounts as a friend, thinking that person might be a confederate. No luck, though; no one is.

http://www.myspace.com/caitiepooh links to an account belonging to "sifugCAITLINjknsd," who has been befriended by six of the seven (Hud held out). There may be other 6-frienders, but I didn't have the fortitude to check it out. Caitiepooh, in any case, has a private account and is a 15-year-old girl.

Sigh.

I think it may be time to actually get some work done here.

They probably won't respond
I messaged JJ Abrams on myspace in response to his post about characters having myspace pages. I asked him if they would communicate with us and he told me "probably not."

 		Are any of you "step in the right direction" on MySpace? Curious, because I rarely get random comment requests on my profile, and I just got a message that "step in the right direction" had left a comment about me. Probably just a coincidence that the name sounds ARGish...well, coincidence mixed with my own obsession, anyway.

I'll feel really dumb when it turns out to be one of my high school friends. Embarassed

We already know this to be inaccurate, people have been receiving replies from Myspace characters. But then again "Probably not" could also mean that of all of the people that ask the characters questions, only a few will and that you will "probably not."

Just in case anyone was wondering where this guy found abrams on myspace, it's http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=215217473
and although there's evidence on both sides that this could be his actual myspace account at least for the game's purposes, one look at the myspace ID should tell you it's not real. It's surprisingly well done though.

Simply put- has JJA referred to the movie as Cloverfield? If he has, please point me to it, I'd like to see. The first blog entry is "This Cloverfield 1/18/08 thing" and in the most recent blog, he mispelled Lily(Lilly) and Hud's(Hudson Pratt) names. Careless, for a guy who's putting so much work into this.

We've had some pretty difficult IG/OOG decisions to make, and I don't think we've necessarily been right on all counts. However, whether or not JJ's just hangin' out on MySpace, taking questions about a game he's probably not directly involved with.... That just doesn't seem to be one of those hard decisions. I could be wrong. Anything is possible. But rather than asking why couldn't that be him, isn't the more helpful question why would that be him?
