Alright let's backtrack a minute and a couple pages until the new vid arrives. Anyway, does anyone remember Vincent? I mentioned him before with his post that he wanted to kill 138islate.

Now, after that I PM'd him asking him to calm down and that threatening to kill a person, no matter how anonymous could get him arrested. Tonight I got a post back from him.

Er, awkward!

Well, part of me wants to say she's just pulling a TINAG, but the fact that she mentions ARGNet and specifically references this board really makes me wonder...

However, she hasn't actually posted on UF (if this were an ARG, that would break the ToS), so that makes me kinda thing it is an ARG.

Regardless of whether or not Maria is part of the game, the tapes are fake, and those at least are an ARG.

138islate, at least, is canon (IG) because he posted clips Maria didn't post yet. Notice that he says 'I hate ARG' or something in his profile.

I think what's going on BTS at this point is: Somebody (playing Maria as a character) started this thing a la LonelyGirl15. They didn't know what ARGs were. They created this story with some interactivity with Maria (Who knows? Perhaps 'Maria' is the name of the creator of these videos, and she is 'playing' herself, a la Adam Brackin in Deus City.) giving out the videos weekly in a realistic format. (Again, a la LG15.) She posts a message on 10033's account--he's from LG15.

So basically, this 'ARG' was inspired by LG15, I would think. It wasn't defined as an ARG, and as such the 'PMs' probably don't know that we have a TINAG principle, etc. (Besides, this is more of Chaotic Fiction than an ARG--there aren't a lot of puzzles to solve.)

Anyways, now that Maria has come right out and said that she's a real person--regardless of whether or not this is TINAG or real--I'm going to treat her entirely as a real person. Because either way, that's what we she is. Wink

The awkward thing is that Maria--purportedly real person--is reading this and using it on Subject137 (in-game or whatever we're calling it at this point).

Anyway, sorry for all the meta. Back to the new Day 4 video!

Alright, just got some well deserved rest and saw the WEEK 4 video (sorry Rekidk, my OCD kicked in)

Anyway, notice that in that week, his shirt color changes to black. The same as what it was during the first video. Since we don't know how long into the study that was recorded, I guess it was somewhere around that point.

He talks about Tom's sacrifice (btw, I like this new voice, but wondering who it is, 138 perhaps?) now that could pertain to entering himself in the program but something else in my brain says that something happens to him later that leads to the "I'm dying" from the first video.

Personally I like the message this person gives, cause he's dead right. Anyway back to the focus. I wanted to know if anyone could get me audio from rex in day 19 so I can speed it up with adobe audition and try and match.

My feeling is it would be easier to normalise the distorted voices for a good comparison than to distort the normal ones. I think I've normalised the voice on week 4 (big file, though), and I'll have a go at Dr Lowvoice if my insomnia doesn't fail me.

Edit: I think I've got them, and, while I'm no good at accents and this stuff, the one thing I'm sure of is that Dr Lowvoice and 138/week 4 are not the same person. 138 (well, the VO on Week4) could be Rex or Tom, however; I don't know.

If anyone wants the files, I can either find some way of sending them (they're large .wavs), or I can explain step by step how I made them with free software (audacity).

Also, if anyone thinks they might be able to identify the music from the altered week 4 audio, that might help.
