The mayan callander ending on 2012 doesn't necessarily mean the end of the world but only a significant change. Like a paradigm shift. Maybe that is what "begin again" meant in the original letter. In which case maybe this is counting down to something. Forgive me for any trouts this thread has gone in so many circles it is hard to keep track.

I have to agree. 2012 is when the current calender will reach it's "Happy New Calender" and start again.

Okay, so lets wait until 2012 for our new clue.

Hope not...
I'm stuck on the relevance of the map image...

I'm not completely sure, but I think the map cloud cover has been photoshoped to be only over those locations?

maybe we should check the star maps from those places?

this trailhead has really slowed down. If the PM is reading maybe that should be a hint that it is time for some more clues

well i think they expected us to take alot longer on the barcodes than we did... and besides, as far as arg timelines go, they need to pace themselves, its not fun if we get clue after clue that we can solve easily...

id rather have hard clues that takes teamwork to solve than easy ones that people race to solve in a matter of minutes...

its only been a day... patience grasshopper

Must be brief, on PSP, sat up in bed- GCDOA- I did the math wrong on the Mayan numbers. Turn the img clockwise, use the base 20 and work bottom to top. WinXP has a good scientific calc. Also- I think there are two spots in KS, Topeka AND KC. Will edit this tomorrow, just want to maybe get the ball rolling. Later.

I was talking to someone today about this ARG and they said it sounds a lot like a new movie that will come out next year called 3000. I haven't heard anything about this movie.

How about you guys?

Not saying I did, either, but that's the only 2008 movie that has a similar title.

There's also 2012, a movie about a family vacationing as the Mayan calendar expires.

Anyway. I doubt this is tied to a movie.

looks like a puzzle to me.

I know I'm late on this, and that it's OoG, but isn't that a symbol for the Knights Templar? This is gonna drive me crazy, this rings such a big bell...

is there a wiki for this? (yet?)
*EDIT* What I really wanna know is, how the hell did you find the site? I cannot find mention of the numbers, really, until this site is downright FOUND.

Richard,

xnbomb figured this out back on page 18...

How about http://207.246.97.187?

This is the only valid IP you can parse out of that 11-digit number. It is wonderfully devoid of anything encouraging, which in itself is encouraging .

GCDOA looked it up on whois.sc, and finds it to be associated with http://ajkin.net and http://ajkin.com.

as for a wiki, i think only images are being placed on despoiler... with over 30 pages of forum, and we're just starting...... it might be a very very good idea!!
