Hi guys... first post here. I don't think anyone's posted this yet:

http://www.landau-luckman-lake.com/map.htm

has changed again and now shows a picture of a baseball field. I don't have time to find out which one at the moment, cuz I'm at work. Anyone recognize it? I don't think the directions at the bottom have changed.

Later,

MrHorrible Evil or Very Mad

Thanks to Lou in #unfiction, it's a picture of Ebbets field in Brooklyn (home of the Brooklyn Dodgers)

compare.

to

so, The lost city of Ebbets field?

PS - I checked, the directions are still the same.
PSS - Lou found the exact photo here. http://thedeadballera.crosswinds.net/Stadiums/StadiumsEbbetsField_photo4.jpg

I can confidently say (after doing some research) that the picture is more than likely Ebbet's Field, formerly of Brooklyn, NYC.

What to do with it? I haven't the slightest.

For proof of identification:

And some reading:

<EDIT>

Damnit, too late again!
But at least I had the right idea, without anyone's help! That's gotta count for something, right? Smile

Interesting use of "name"

Interesting how the image name of the first two were"map" and this one is called "60feet6inches". I assume this is a baseball ref (not a huge fan - sorry) but perhaps more intentional than not.

Plus notice how the picts change but the directions have, for the most part, not. I think the story is in the directions, and the pictures are just window dressing.

But what to I know, I am but an observer on this planet <adjusts tin foil hat>. And here is one for you, what if you took the blue and the red pill?

60 feet, six inches = the distance from the pitcher's mound to home plate in professional baseball.

Then y2kbozo posted this at CD...

With only a little prodding, the directions in the first map can be made into the
directions in the second and third maps.
