good I have to say I'm glad that this is all crap. I would have been pissed if JJ would have had a plot that the guy in the video said.
Cool pic with the hand though

Monster Coming or Going? he's going into the city. You can tell cause the claw marks are both diagonally going down so he went into the city.

I don't care where he's going, I'm just waiting for January 18th.

Wow, the monster must be ridiculously, and unimaginably strong, because, well, I found the SoL's head .
It must be able to toss the head not only extremely far away at an odd angle, but also several years back into different movie posters.

Because it's a major land mark
If it's getting destroyed in the movie I think it send out a message that some serious sh!t is happening.

Plus it's arguably the one New York landmark everyone across the world recognises.

I don't believe the statue stands for peace, but rather liberty and escape from oppression. I think some huge monster destroying the statue is a statement of "There's a new sheriff in town, and all your armies won't protect your liberty once my big foot comes down on ye. You may have defended liberty and won wars around the globe, but I spit on your defiant image of freedom."
Either that or the monster thinks it makes a good play-toy.

It's a lion, DOH!

A dumb monster might consider the 100' woman standing with what looks like a club a threat. I don't think the statue's significance has anything to do with it.

Anything to do with what? I agree it's not a clue about the monster, but you're not seriously denying that the destruction of SOL is a metaphor are you? It's one of the most famous images in sci-fi and the poster we have is a copy of one of the most famous WW1 war-bond posters. A destroyed SOL is the sine qua non symbol for the destruction of liberty. Even the worst NYU film student makes deliberate decisions about every aspect of what's in a film. It's not an arbitrary decision and it's not just because the SOL happens to be there, not unless Bad Robot is run by a bunch of complete idiots.

Nah, they're just terrorists that hate our freedom, so the monster's a weapon.
