I just noticed something. Sanatos mentions that Jonas knew SOTA's founder.
Going to SOTA's website, I find this..

Quote:
When I first started SOTA in 1995, I was living in Santa Fe, NM. A neighbor (Aaron Elliot, our current SOTA membership chairman) and I were talking during a backyard BBQ when the conversation turned to a book series (bought on TV and popular at he time) dealing with unsolved ancient mysteries.

Perhaps this is Castaway Theory? Although the dates don't fit...

Also, Shlonster, to make a link as words

"Jungle" is the nickname for Halo 3's first level. "Mistaken in jungle" could imply that MC and Arbie are making some sort of error early in the campaign's plot. Or it could just be an allusion to Amazon... :/

The first line is missing in the OP, if I'm not mistaken (of the last stanza, I mean). And for emphasis; it doesn't bear any huge significance, I was just pointing that out.

edit: And to Illidian, you're using all the wrong formulas! The correct one can be found here

I believe that love will be a neg. exponent.... Rolling Eyes

edit2: can someone give me a quick tut on how to make the link appear as a word?

Confound it! Now I have to spend the whole night trying to figure it out again.

Ahem. I pointed that out on page 8. In basically those same words.

EDIT: Rereading that, I don't mean to be rude. Just saying.

I've been working on typing into the "Search this book" box different things I think may lead to a page. My guess is that when the correct thing is searched for it leads you to the server or closer to it at least. Sort of like a passcode.

Here's what I've tried:
Volman
the ISBN
the amazon ID
Darwin
Iris
modus108
801snpow
Schrodingers, Cat, Theory (all permutations)

If you can think of something you should try it. My money is on this being the next step

Sorry if this has already been posted but the last stanza in the poem is brand new. The real version of the poem doesnt have the last stanza.

New Sanatos post:
Quote:

Everything has changed!
I am walking around in a stupor right now. Ha-ha! It almost feels like the last two years have been a dream.
He's back!
That is, he's not in my house, not directly in front of me, but I spoke with him this morning.

I was going through my usual routine. I had my coffee and was beginning to check email when I received a random IM:

"I almost have it. It won't be too long before I can return" -- profvol49

At first I thought it was a horrible joke, possibly from one of you that have been so suddenly interested in his disappearance.
You can't blame me for being skeptical; your sudden interest has taken a bit of an emotional toll on me. It has forced me to relive the loss.

So I asked him things that only Jonas would know.
No one could have faked his answers.

OMG he's back!

Contains an IM address: profvol49

because it gives peaple in europe a chance to get a prize, so far the times the servers have opened have been like 3 - 5 am UK time, perhaps this just accomodates everyone into the arg rather than just americans

They aren't even sending international prizes are they? I thought the Canadian players weren't getting packages.
