Cris Orfescu looks to be an in-game reference to a real out-of-game artist. Look up his name on Google, and you'll get search results and images. His unique pieces go for thousands. And his prints are a good match for someone who is hoping a high class art buyer will throw something their way as a tip.

Here's where his piece was in a digital art contest in 2005:

Okay, now this is me being a shoewhore, but I noticed something.
In the report thing where it lists the witnesses and the word "vouloirunhomme" is scrawled at the bottom, under "weapon used," it says "MANOLO BLAHNIK HEELS."
SJP was NOT wearing Manolos! She was wearing heels by Christian Louboutin. They are known for the signature fire-engine red soles. ONLY Louboutins have them. Manolos don't.
I don't know if this is important or not, but it might be something to keep in mind.

Relevant???

Ok, so I don't know if this has any relevance or if someone has brought this up, but I translated the comment that Cornilea left on Morgaine Belaso's my space page and it goes like this, or something like this..

Faisons les boissons après travail la semaine prochaine !

Do the drinks after work next week!

Is this a plan for a meeting?? I could be totally off base, but thought it might help.

That's an awesome observation! I wondered about that but didn't think anything of it until now.

You may have something there...

The mystery of Covet
May be something, may be nothing but...

So I'm looking at the video again of the crime, and SJP didn't drive herself to the scene. And it doesn't look like just any 'taxi cab' to drop her off. The car waits for her (it's in the background of the video and in the photos of the ad). She must have had a driver.

Why is he not mentioned in the crime report as a witness, I wonder?

New Melisande Blog

New posting to Melisande's blog - giving props to Degravedi among others for solving the first clue. She also points out that she will sneak into the station and try the passkey on Monday. She also points out the Captaine's false last name on Myspace"Belaso" and her fave Author - Alice in Wonderland's Lewis Carroll.

She also alludes to the fact that Morgaine could possibly find Melisande's blog and therefore prevent the openness that we are all enjoying now. I wonder if that means the devious Captaine could also run across this Unfiction forum as well?

It shouldn't, and would be a huge faux pas by the PMs if it happened. For the purposes of the games played here, uF is *always* considered OOG (out-of-game). In other words, this is the one place (aside from a uF chat room) that we can share information, speculate, and discuss to our hearts' content all aspects of the game without being concerned that we're letting any information out to any characters. (For more info, read the board's TOS.)

 w00t!!!

GAh! I got a shout out! Stinks that I only got it because of degravedi... good work, mate!

Soooo... methinks there's a lot of clues/nonclues/canon/oog stuff floating around. It's still REALLY early. We don't know yet what may be important and what's detritus... keep that in mind!

Lewis + Belaso

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) called Belaso's Vigenère cipher unbreakable in his 1868 piece "The Alphabet Cipher" in a children's magazine.

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) is also the writer of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

I think there are more codes to brake in their profiles and I'm trying Vigenere in everything I read but didn't get anything yet.

The red sole is a trademarked thing (or something to that effect). Seriously, only Louboutins have red soles.
