Guy's, it's relatively simple.

The past is the present:
Check the myspace pages. They are the PAST (when talking about the Cloverfield universe, in which the importance is January 18th), but are also our present.

The present is the future:
Well, we already know what happens on January 18th. Therefore our present is their future.

It's not a real hint, it's just some kid rehashing everything we know and are guessing (surprise, surprise!).
