UPDATE: www.bluelouboyle.com (Apr 9, 2004) updated with the following:
Quote:
YEEEEE HAAW, YAAAAAAHHHHOOOOOO
Not rugged, spurless proper.
Struggle up nerd oppressor.
and the original trueromance.jpg is back up too
spec: "Not rugged, spurless proper." and "Struggle up nerd oppressor. " do not google as is. They sound like anagrams though...

Quick thought:
the "Yahoo" is probably part of the solution. (unless it's not)
both of the phrases that gb found and posited as anagrams (of each other-- which they are-- and of something else as well, I assume)
contain the letters to spell "group"
are we being directed to a Yahoo group?
Maybe Melody's msn group was an inspiration to him?

"Groups Grendel Supporters" works, Rose ...
catherwood found: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/grendelsupporters/
"For those looking to take Grendel out of his cave."
No members when found, we've both requested access. Think that'll be it?
*EDIT To clarify: GRENDEL is how the Professor refers to TOBI. Group was formed yesterday.

Another interesting thing about the group is that the advertising links at the bottom of the page always show three crypto/security-related things. I spot-checked a few other groups, and it seems the ads are tied to the group's content and not to me or my browser's cookies. Interesting...
Edit: Grumpyboy points out in IRC that GrendelSupporters is categorized under cryptography

I have been accepted to the group (as have most of you). I just wanted to note what was there. There is only one poll (and the associated post) and one calender entry.
Code:
What should be done to Ideltech?
Fight them politically.
Fight them with sabatoge.
Fight them with espionage.
Fight them with fear tactics.
Fight them with force.
The calendar entry:
Code:
11:00 pm-12:00 am (osiemarie)
Krystal disappeared today
AnthraX101
EDIT: Sorry, I read the posts from the bottom up and didn't note that this was already posted here

Oh, Osiemarie is me : I was just playing around with the site to see what I could do and forgot to remove the entry. I'm sorry if I confused anyone.

Having compared the image on bluelouboyle.com to that on the actual tapes/posters, I note that the doorway on the right-hand side (the characters' left) is significantly wider on the site. What's more, zooming in on that section of the image shows a fairly unusual pattern. So far my efforts to decode this information (by doing random stuff to the image and then opening it in a text editor) have proven fruitless. If you look closely at the bottom right of the image, there's a nearly-invisible rectangle that would not have fit on the unaltered image. Maybe that's the point?
