Fuck. Me.

Put the headphones on.

It's there.

Eating humble pie now. Played it over and over again in a loop.

Damn. So now what?

You can hear anything you want, dude. I don't need to remind you that the guy who swears he heard "Where's Genesis? Has anyone seen Genesis?" still swears that it what the trailer has in it.

Wrong. NOBODY heard the genesis except the topic starter, everybody except you and the other guy hear this. And half of us thought it was a joke. And my file shows hard proof that it REALLY is there.

Edit: Now Antero hears it, <3 :3

Holy shit I heard it.

Ok well maybe Abrams is telling us the monster is a giant cukoo bird.

Or he's telling us we're crazy.

Or he's being a bitch and is giving us more loose ends with absolutely no meaning but he knows we're going to research them anyway.

Iz all good, but there's no way we can research this anymore in my opinion. It's just too random.

It's a weird cuckoo clock noise, I don't think it's a traditional German cuckoo clock. We have two of the old-school handmade clocks in the family and while it's ABSOLUTELY a cuckoo style noise, it's... like, a computerized version. It's hollow, it doesn't have the wood sound to it.

For what that's worth.

I heard it too, but only after wearing headphones AND my tin foil hat!

But seriously, there's something there that, to me, at least sounds like a cuckoo clock. But I'm skeptical of it having any real meaning as far as the movie/arg/whatever. It's too short. I suspect that this is an audio version of the demon in the hair, or the angel in the clouds. Okay, it's there, I see (hear) it, but it's just a shape (sound). Sometimes a carrot is just a carrot.

It could just be an inside joke in the production department, or it could just be something the sound editors tracked in to embellish the overall a/v effect of the shot. I remember a behind-the-scenes look at Raiders of the Lost Ark, in which they pointed out the sound editor's use of a lion's roar (or some big-cat roar) to enhance the sound of a truck swerving around a tight curve. No one would notice it in the flow of the scene unless they were specifically listening for it. But it's there - for effect only. They do that a lot - mix in sounds from totally irrelevant sources to get just the right mix.

Wow, that was so extremely obviously there. I don't know how I never heard it before. I didn't need headphones or anything and the sound wasn't even "light" or "in the background" or anything. Hot damn. I think it could be a clue because it's just so out of place or maybe it's what furi said. That seems likely also, but I suggest we pursue this as a clue, y'know, check all possible relationships between cuckoo clocks and Cloverfield/the Slusho Seven.

It's there all right. Good catch. JJ did say there are still websites we have yet to discover. He stating that just reinforces that there must be more clues yet to be uncovered.

This sound is there, and now I know some jerks are here

Helo wrote:

Dude, the sounds isn't there. It's called an audible suggestion - if you believe it's there to hear, it'll be there. A lot of ARG players have that problem.

Look, jerkwad, if you don't hear it, then you don't hear it, but don't go calling me a liar because you have sinus problems. I think everyone should hear it, but I'm 13 years old, I heard it days ago and my dad didn't believe me till he listened about 5 times today, then I posted about it.

There are sounds that come through clearer for teens than people under or over teenage. See this study:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wiltshire/content/articles/2006/04/04/mosquito_sound_wave_feature.shtml

Either way, the bad part is that Helo and maybe others are being jerks. I've been plugged into this trailer since jump street, paid attention to many forums, and have a blog about stuff I think of it, but this is a real sound in the trailer.

You're just being a player hater, and you're hatin on a 13 year old kid that is doing his best to help the Unfiction group.

The fact that there is a cuckoo sound at that point in the trailer may mean nothing, but it's very unusual. Maybe you in fact can't hear it, but it's in the audio. I played it for my mom tonight and she heard it too.

I'm not a faker or messing with the ARG, but instead of appreciating our efforts and happy that someone has found something new to explore, you are trying to avoid exploration. This ain't no stupid 'face in the explosion' delusion. I hear it clears as a bell right after the head hits the 401 sign.

And yet we wonder why nobody's figured out anything with Slusho....

It's like a big co-ed sleepover at this point. I call pillow fight. Razz
