New post up with some pretty creepy pictures. Not much in the way of text unfortunately.

Speculation

After reading the entire blog and the attached comments I have come to a possible reason for the video scene... what we are seeing is the subject murdering his friend. Some reasons for this speculation include some of the responses by the good doctor, which include: "the man was very close to the case", "he wanted to get back involved but 'never had time'" (not quoted as is).

The whole "all we heard were thuds at the end of the video" and the "defensive position" stated by the good doctor and seen in the video are even more reason why I am leaning towards this kind of explination for what is going on.

What the doctor and his friends may be experiencing are the result of the spirit of the dead friend trying to make contact. If this is the case, then questioning the doctor about his experiences may provide us with some usefull information.

If the subject did not kill his friend, then this could very well be the friend (if the two were very close) attempting to show what happend too him through the subject.

R.F. took off to "finish what he had to do in the first place." Maybe it's me, but that sounds a bit ominous.

I agree.

Here's a link through American Academy of Family Physicians to shed some light on the pictures. This may/may not explain them, and may be too oog, but medical knowledge is my forte, so here you go.

Oh, boy.
This can't be a good thing....
I asked R.F. what he thought of them, particularly if they were examples of medical studies involving the mind, and if there was anything written in the email. Also, thanks Bubasture for the link. It's out of game, but it could help us with any medical abnormalities we see in the photos.

And I do like your theories, Bubbleboy. Good work!

with the addition of the pictures, and the style of writing, i am reminded more and more of WI, which i tinkered with peripherally.
i will probably keep an eye on this from the sidelines from here on out. i just seem to enjoy a somewhat more structured game (along the lines of the larger, corporate jobs like YZ and S7 and whatnot.), that's less 20 questions and more ferreting out information and noodling puzzles.

this IS an interesting story though.

Personally, I love the home-brew stuff. The bigger, flashier games are too polished for my tastes. I'll stick around.

Me, too.
And in response to my query about the real life kidnapped boy, R.F. pretty much denied it, though he did say that the similarities were unsettling.
I say it's an OOG coincidence, but, if this is WI-2 we're talking about, I can't be sure.
Also those pictures are very unsettling to me especially. The second one is awfully familiar, and I have a feeling that it's the real deal, not a photoshop.
I'm not sure about the first one, though.
This whole thing is screaming WI....

New post put up just recently. Apparently he's been warned about his hallucinations or whatever before. He doesn't seem to remember them though.

"Sammy called at 11 but I missed him."

I wonder what time R.F. called home from the diner? I think I'll ask him.

Well, mystery emailer certainly knows what Mr. F's dreaming.
"Black mud?" "Little boy blue?"
And the other him could be a look into the future.
I don't know what to make of it....

"Little Boy Blue" could just be a reference to that old nursery rhyme:

Quote:
Little boy blue, come blow your horn.
The sheep's in the meadow, the cow's in the corn.
Where's the boy who looks after the sheep?
Under the haystack, fast asleep.
Will you wake him? No, not I
For if I do he's sure to cry.

Are we dealing with a transfer of consciousness perhaps, the scientists mind into a new body which is now wondering about as our friend R. F.?

Oh, yes, it definitely is, but remember the blue outline of a child with dark eyes. Whoever this is, s/he certainly knows about what R.F.'s dreaming.

Of course, s/he could be looking at his blog.
I really don't think this person is particularly nice....

The email Robert (c'mon what else could R***** be?) received sounds literal. The Little Blue Boy was sick ... babies can be born with a blue hue or turn blue after birth if they're having circulatory problems. They were going to the hospital and he crashed, killing his son, and hurting himself. Somehow whatever "they" did to fix him interacted with this dream project he was on and its causing ... well ... whatever the hell is happening to him right now.
