It says on that page:

Quote:
If your name is not on the list, do not be alarmed

Wonder what it means if your name is on there more than once?

I happened to notice the list of those who scored 129-120 is the same as the list for the scores of 99-90, from the name Ireneusz Reclaw to the end.

I didn't check the entire list, just happened to notice that.

Seems to be corrected now,

But my name is not on the list and I worked hard on the damn thing. I guess it is time to move on to something else!

It does say "Early" results, but I've gone ahead and grabbed the page and made a spreadsheet of all the names.

There were still many duplicate names on the page at the time i grabbed it, and i reduced 517 scores down to 498. The results break down:

Code:
SCORE . #PEOPLE .. %GROUP

140-150 .... 3 ... 0.60%
130-139 .... 9 ... 1.81%
120-129 ... 64 .. 12.85%
110-119 ... 54 .. 10.84%
100-109 ... 47 ... 9.44%
90 - 99 ... 98 .. 19.68%
70 - 89 .. 223 .. 44.78%

TOTAL .... 498 . 100.00%

Just talked to Marcus. He said everything is fixed and about 15 new names have been added. He just got done grading them.

And BoJangles, remember, not all of the papers are graded yet. So if you don't see your name, don't worry.

Ack - I did manage to turn in my paper (while I was at camp) but I'm not on the list (sigh).

Melody Heller scored 79-80 points.
Wonder if any other Amboy residents also scored (I didn't have time to look).

If you guys are rescanning the list, I submitted my application with the name Heather Hunter.

Still not on there. But someone told and I am supposed to resend it

I was told by one of you colleagues you have not seen your name posted on the results and were thinking of withdrawing your application. In the last week we have had to deal with an enormous ammount of attacks with viruses. If you sent your mail with the Part 1 as an a attachment my software probably just tossed it out. If you still have it in your sent box please resend. If not, let me know and we will work someting out.

BTW it was not an attachment either which means I failed and now they are trying to keep me in this. And he would have had to go through looking at the applications as no one knows my name! Was swondring if someone would tell. Now i know!

i couldn't believe *that* many people actually submitted answers so i went digging.

most of the names come from these pages:
http://www.swcp.com/~mccurley/cryptographers/cryptographers.html
(a list of cryptography researchers' home pages, how appropriate)

http://www.cs.duke.edu/~mlittman/links/people.html

so I'm wondering how many players actually submitted answers Confused

That expalins the large number og international sounding names. Also it looks like some of the names are also mixed up hockey players too, Could just be my mind working over time.

Mel,

The only thing I said was someone did not see their name. I did NOT give a specific name. I'm following the "rules" as much as possible. I don't play like that. Rememer that they do read the forums.

Mine was not an attachment either. And since I utilized a lot of information that was shared in the forum, I guess many of us failed?

Sad Mine's not on there either. And I thought I had some pretty complete answers. I mean Malynn was a bit hard, but heck, most of us had a hard time with that one.

Just for the record, I did send mine as an attachment the first time and Marcus replied that I needed to send it as plain text in the message. So I did. Hmmm...maybe he didn't get it. Think I should retry sending it?

I dont think so.
I used all the info in the forum except for two questions, and I qualified in the 129 to 120 group
BTW: I sent the mail on April 10th due to my extension and my results are already posted...
