but from what jj said way back there are still other sites out there that havent been found yet. but how the hell do you go about finding something in amongst all this mess, without any concrete clues to what you are actually looking for.
i don't think they are anywhere near done yet on releasing stuff but i still want to know what these other sites are.

First, the email was sent likely before we found Slusho.jp.

Secondly, there COULD be sites we haven't found. Whether that be because we are stupid, that the marketing team (JJ isn't pushing these live himself) hasn't pushed it live, or that the link between two sites is broken.

I'm betting we are relatively done, for now.

jj quote
"Cloverfield is generating way more hype than I expected. We put up Slusho.jp, but didn't expect people to find it so quick. We've still got a lot of work on that site. So it's not really ready, but people are having fun with it anyway. There are a few hidden sites that no one has found yet. Ethan Haas and all the links from that site have created a lot of theories, which is fine by me, but people seem to be a little misguided."

that was from 12th july

so to me that says there are definitely other sites to be found

but yeah it kinda seems that other than that it seems relatively done Smile

One thing that was mentioned a while back was on p.316 of the TRAILHEAD "1-18-08: Possible new arg/puzzle?" thread, by dbssound:

Quote:
If you live in the Washington D.C. area ou probably liste to "elliot in the morning" on D.C. 101. If you did you would have heard an odd caller on tuesday morning. He was calling from California telling Elliot that he was sending photos in to him and the show with speilberg with ne of the show t-shirts. Why does this matter you ask.....

The caller (who never Identified himself on air) went on to say that he would be sending similar pics with will smith (I am Legend) and Mr. JJ Abrams. When asked what he was doing in california and how he had access to all of these people he went on to tell elliot that he worked with all of them In advertising, and more specificaly Viral Marketing. Elliot immediately asked about 1-108-08, and the caller went on to say that was why he was meeting with JJ. He said he worked on the lost experience and was now working on this campaign. His next comments were the most interesting..

" No movie has ever been made like this. The six months leading up to the move are as important, if not more important, and the movie wraps everything up!"

What ever happened with that? I mean, we should be able to confirm or deny whether there was such a caller.

That comment about the radio caller was posted, by dbssound, on Friday, Jul. 27 - right before the new pic on 1-18-08 came up, the slusho! changes came online, and the myspace pics were found - all that happened that same day, 7/27. All questions concerning this radio caller were forgotten b/c everyone got so excited and wrapped up in all the new stuff.

In any case, the radio call-in would have happened on the morning of Tuesday, Jul. 24. We should track that down, eh? But, don't ask me how, short of calling up DC 101.

And, yeah - where did that 7/12 J.J. Abrams quote come from, worngmike?

That still doesn't discount the idea they aren't pushed live. JJ has some play, in a producer type sense with the web stuff, but most of it is probably out if his hands to a degree. The viral marketing company (companies) would be behind pushing the stuff.

The fact that through ALL the resources that we have on this thing, not finding anything for this long, that is supposedly out there, seems a bit... much.

and often, if it really mattered to advance things, you'll see more interaction to push the idea forward a bit.

i am pretty sure that posing as someone else on myspace would not go down well with all parties involved, hence why i think it is legit regardless of signup date, but i still beleive that quote to be valid i'm just trying to find it now

There are thousands of fake myspace pages, many posing as other parties.

The simple fact is that Myspace is not a legitimate source for news or quotes. Find it in a legitimate news outlet or entertainment source, and you're gold. Otherwise, there's no point debating this.

A viral marketer said that, huh? Creating quite the buzz, isn't he...?

yeah, I hear ya'. Amen to that.

I guess, even if it's a real quote, it should be taken with a grain... no, a beach... of salt. w/a lick of salt, a flat of salt, a Lot's Wife of salt. Many Salt, is what I'm sayin'.
