So it's not really ready, but people are having fun with it anyway. There are a few hidden sites that no one has found yet. Ethan Haas and all the links from that site have created a lot of theories, which is fine by me, but people seem to be a little misguided."

Even though he had gotten this from myspace. I have read this from a different source, but I remember JJ goes on after a few days and starts saying how Ethan Hass has nothing to do with it. Only because people were focusing on Ethan Hass more than anything he was doing. SO he had to disconcern it.

LenaDia
"Days get shorter and shorter, nights longer and longer, before you know it, your life is just one long night with a few comatose daylight hours."

Beth
""All a girl really wants is for one guy to prove to her that they're not all the same" ~Marilyn Monroe"

Rob
"That sounds like something a lampost could do"

JJ
"'Don't stop believin'!"

Jamie
"There's no one I love more than my two best friends, Jack and Daniel"

Lily
"The only certainty is that nothing is certain."

Hud
"Hudson Platt. Like the river. And the Oliver."

LenaDia's quote is the one that really makes me think... anyone else have any ideas?

JJ sent an email to Aint It Cool VERY early on because people were trying to like Ethan Hass to the 1-18-08 stuff. HE stated then that it was not connected and made comment that 1-18-08.com (atthe time) was the only one FOUND, but at the time that he had wrote/sent it, we had not found slusho.

That is likely what you are thinking of.

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your support of our little movie. I can't wait to talk to you more about it -- of course, knowing you, by the time we talk you'll know more than I will.

Regarding the online stuff you posted: yeah, we're doing some fun stuff on the web. But, obviously, if the movie doesn't kick some massive ASS, who gives a rat's about what's online? So as you can imagine, we're focusing mostly on THAT. For what it's worth, the only site of ours that people have even FOUND is the 1-18-08.com site. The others (like the Ethan Haas sites) have nothing to do with us.

Stay cool the rest of the summer -- and thanks per usual for AICN!

JJ

Probably because there is nothing to crack. It's just to add flavor the reality. It's a real newspaper.

Evil - have you kept track of all the instances of 63 at all just to have something to work with?

I haven't logged them all, but I'm sure there are tons throughout. Frankly, the number 18 seems to be the real magic number, being 6+6+6, 6x3, etc., to invoke a reaction. Having 1/18/08 also be the year's calculated "Doomsday" reinforces the advanced planning aspect. I'm quite sure the MySpace profiles and Slusho site are going to be telling a back story to enrich to the movie experience, otherwise, what's the point?

Here's a possible clue that also indicates that Jamie may be the point "person" to find clues: her Major is OCLD, or Organizational Communication, Learning, and Design (click to see the actual Ithaca College description from 2004). Here's the first paragraph of the description:

Quote:
Organizational communication, learning, and design (OCL&D) is a unique, interdisciplinary program providing a comprehensive education in the theory and practice of both human and media-based communication within organizations. As the name denotes, the curriculum focuses on how people in organizations communicate and learn, and how organizational leaders design the strategies, systems, and tools to help them do so. Students prepare to assume professional roles in employee communication, public information, education and training, meeting and special events planning, technical writing, interactive media and design, and promotional communication.

Sounds like she majored in ARG's. Maybe she's got something to say?

For completeness, here's info on Jamie's minor, Photo (still photography with digital cameras), from the same graduation year, 2004:

Ithaca College Minor in Photo, 2004

Not much of note, other than it's relationship to the cimena department.

Hmm, this could be more pure coincidence, but here goes:

[23]

Jamie's birthday is on December 25th, 1981, since she shares Jesus' birthday and is 25 years old right now (26 this December; hey look, another 6!). What makes this interesting is that -- try not to laugh -- Chuck Woolery left the Wheel of Fortune, one of the most popular word game shows in the U.S. Oh yeah, there's that whole Jesus = prophet (can she foresee events?), minister (is she going to warn us/her friends?), ultimate sacrifice (does Jamie sacrifice herself?), etc., for the Biblically-inclined out there. Twisted Evil

[/23]

Didn't see this stuff mentioned via the search either, so maybe it'll strike a chord with someone.

So what's the deal with Abrams Myspace account? Any proof of it being real or fake?

Because to me it looks fake as hell. The photo's are simply taken from google images and to my taste he's way to active in explaining the whole ARG and viral campaign.

Also, his favorite anagram involves the words Adolf and Hitler. Now how is that for promoting your latest movie production?

OOG bro... its fake as anything... no way JJ would focus that much on the ARG/viral marketing campaign and not on the movie...

Well, it's clear that whoever is posting as the Slusho7 is using the In-ter-webs as source material. Beth's line is in tons of profile pages attributed to Marilyn Monroe, but I can't find one normal source that confirms it. Jamie's quote is either a direct reference to Jack Daniels, or a subtle nod to "Jack and Daniel" of Stargate fame (note she says Daniel, not Daniels), since that's all that comes up. I did find other profiles using the same, or similar quote.
