To prove how slippery these homophones are:

Using the coding system I described above it is straightforward to write a key which translates the blocks up until the second slug as follows:

"iamdelightedwemeetagainwecannowgetonandmoveinto"

that is -
I am delighted we meet again We can now get on and move into...

Actually the coding constraints for the second half of this sequence are very loose due to few repeating letters (for example the string "get on and move into" could be replaced with "go on with more inte"..[resting?] but, in any case, the wheels start to fall off at the 2nd slug (3rd column) since the frequency of coming across already allocated letters increases rapidly - which constrains the code much more tightly than in the first lines. Of course its possible the rotation of the slug in question changes something else so it doesn't necessarily prove that the above translation is wrong, but you know what I mean.

Well at least you seem to be making some progress, although the fact that you have to "reverse engineer" the key seems a little difficult. Does the key you are coming up with match anything, maybe something from earlier in the puzzle strings (I'm thinking of maybe using the Kryptos code as a key or something similar, instead of the Zodiac's code key)

Am I at the blocks?

Okay.. I think I'm at the blocks. I see a girl with what look to be blocks stacked up. Is this the place? I was expecting something more three-dimensional.

This is creepy though.

hmmm... slugs...

better get started...

Just to clear this up... those are not snails or slugs, they are either rabbits, or bunnies, or hares.

tripitaka,

You're starting on the leftmost column? When I saw the "slugbunny" in the lower right, it immediately reminded me of the circle cipher and that I should be starting on the right rather than the left.

I did the obvious, pulling letters that matched my bunny's orientation.. but that didn't pan out.

Do the number of blocks in each column have any significance, I wonder?

I agree, this puzzle seems abnormally difficult compared to the previous ones.

I think it's been said but look for something out of place in the definition.

Also, make sure you click the submit button rather than hitting "enter". For some reason, on my computer, only the button works... enter just takes me back to the same page.

What do you mean by something creepy on the third puzzle?

No pictures.

Thank you, Skipjack. It just HAD to be done.

Does anyone still reading this thread have a copy of the geocache puzzle that also had the blocks? I thought it would be interesting to compare the two.

Well, crap, I'm stuck on the bug cipher, now.
I've solved it and found what it told me to find, but I just don't know what to write! I've tried everything!
Help?

Since it was taken down at geocache at about the time Torment started, it would be fun to compare them.
