So the actual moderator...meaning me...would like to point out that not one of the people suggesting that the search function be used, posted a link to a duplicate thread. Linking to the search function doesn't help someone who isn't adept at using it. And with all the threads here, anyone can have trouble finding anything. No worries, just please link to the duplicate thread.

See, showing another player where the information has already been posted is extremely helpful, friendly and, if this is your main concern, contributes to efficiency. Posting a link to another thread or threads usually ends the discussion in the duplicate thread. Problem solved.

Most importantly, it reinforces the idea that people are welcomed here which is the main idea.

I bet that if we are talking about forum clutter, there are more posts in this forum where people simply (and repeatedly in the same thread) tell someone to search, than there are duplicate posts of the information. So we can reduce clutter by simply posting a link to the other thread. See how simple that is?

I know how frustrating it is to see the same stuff repeating like a bad dream over and over again on the boards. I really do understand that. I read it too. I'm playing this thing right along with you.

But, guys, please if someone posts duplicate information link them to where it has been posted before. You might also politely suggest they use the search function... and even list the search terms you used.
