Ok... a lot of people are going to hate but I don't care!!! What if it is the World Trade Centers come back from the grave to exact revenge on a brainwashed New York for letting the whole terrorist thing turn into what it has. OK that sounds insensitive but... I see how excited everybody is getting over this film being about New York being destroyed by some unknown entity/entities or possibly the entire world succuming to this unknown menace and I can't help but thinking, nay, FEELING when I woke to see the news of the 9/11 attacks taking place. I mean, I sometimes feel bad admitting this but before it kicked in that real people had died and surreal sense of it all was still building I actually felt very calm and ready for all these sorts of crazy events unfold, almost excited to be witness to the end of the world. I kind of get the feeling that this was a common feeling and with this movie maybe J.J. wants us to develop some sort of repore with the charecters to regain that sense of loss that a lot of people who weren't directly affected by 9/11 have come to ignore. I mean say you build up this fake but believable relationship with Jaime, and you actually are having fun talking to her on myspace even though it's all bullshit, what haPPENS on 01-19-08 when you never get to talk to her again? right? I just think that somewhere along the line someone said" uhh... maybe we shouldn't base this kind of movie in New York" and J.J. said "then what's the point"? Well, balh blah blah, I just think this movie is shaping upto to be more than the typical creature feature and that the time from now until the preimier is going to play a very importatn role in this film! the end
