might I tentatively reccommend moving this to another forum? Or something other than locking the topic?

There may still be people wanting to "crack" this, OOG or not, and this thread (with its OOG warning) shouldn't necessarily be closed off to collaborative work.

That having been said, I personally will not be working further on "rage" unless something amazing happens.

This has been confirmed to be out of game. The thread title denotes it as out of game. So, I suspect, we should continue to acknowledge it is out of game and not just drive traffic to the site. Smile

[OOG] denotes that it is not being run by the same folks who created all the original 1-18-08 content (1-18-08.com and slusho.jp and the confirmed MySpaces for the various movie characters).

It might draw upon the same universe as the movie. It might direct to/comment upon/use similar images/make direct references to original sites, but it is not under the control of the company that is running the confirmed [IG] sites.

It is not unusual for widespread commercial projects (and even some grassroots games) to generate "gamejacks" or other player attempts to draw attention upon themselves by creating such sites drawing established players to [OOG] locations/stories, etc.

So maybe someone, bored with the fact that 1-18-08 is not turning out to be a real ARG (but seems to me to be just a means to create an atmosphere that the characters are REAL people when you go see the movie), and created their own ARG based on the same universe. Then tagged on IMDB as a means to draw traffic to their site?
