Ok - total apologies to Kona... she posted the link. I missed it. Even though the word "here" it was in all caps and in red. I'm leaving this though for posterity.

Guys, please remember that we don't want to just post complaints about other existing and duplicative threads - we need to post a link please. Just asking someone to search isn't enough.

I didn't post the link above because I didn't think it was needed. The original poster almost immediately came to the same conclusion as we had found and then dropped it.

After the first poster concluded what he had to say, the thread was continued by nothing more substantive than suggesting that he needed to search.

Please, if you want to direct someone to another thread, you need to post the link. I know we mean to be helpful, so post the link. Even if it is one thread below the new one, just post the link. Maybe the person doesn't speak English well. Maybe the search result turns up too many links. Maybe they didn't bother to search. Who cares why? Please be helpful and post a link if you want to point out there are other threads.

So much easier, friendlier and more efficient to just be welcoming and helpful and post the link. ( Sometimes I think people don't post links because they can't find them either although I don't think that is the case here.)

Like I said, I know we all want to help each other play the game. Otherwise, why have the forums? Anyway, I know we can all work on posting links instead of just asking people to search. It will be much better and much kinder to the other players. Thanks.

By the way, this system also produces so much less clutter. I'm certain that there are many more cluttering posts telling someone to search than there are duplicate threads.

And, now as the subject was brought up.... the previously existing thread.

Edit to add: there is no official or unofficial rule that the same subject have only one thread. Some people prefer to organize the data that way, but it isn't a "rule" violation if we end up with more than one thread or duplicative work. Sometimes that is just the way it goes.
