[SPEC] this makes me angry,

I've heard everything on wut the monster could be, but honestly this is getting rediculous.

Ive heard cthulu(i like that),
and skyrider(wtf?)
and jewish armageddon/christian armageddon
ive even heardof slusho infecting you!

holy crap people, JJ sed he wanted america to have it's own monster(MONSTER, not armageddon.)

so he probably is making his own monster, not one thats been used, I mean, I know we all have a right to our oppinions, but seriously, if u go to the point of saying, "SLUSHO transforms people into the monsters,) then rethink it! please.

my speculation, is I'd say more sensible, a lot of the evidence points toward something from the ocean, the monstrous poster, slushos history thing, and so on.

and we really need to look for the sites that jj sed we Havent
found, k?

who agrees?

well, me. i do.

however, with people trying to disect clues instead of searching for other strategically fictional websites that involve the film, we will never find more clues.

folks seem more interested in reading into the goddamn conspiracy theories that are obviously way off base.

what we need is something solid. slusho makes sense because it's a company. they want to make this (quasi) game realistic like the lost ones; where you stuble upon websites involving companies (or in this case blogs.)

my guess is the next big hint will be rob stating that he's applying to some blahblah company that has a branches in japan, and then we'll be able to go to that fake company's website and we'll be led more indepth into the film's theme or plot. until something obvious like that happens though, we'll have folks looking for horse faces in smoke i'm afraid.

Yeah, I thought of that too. But then I realized that it probably wouldn't happen until December the earliest and maybe even January ... IF they're playing this in real time.

EDIT:

UNLESS ... he already works for the company and is just getting promoted/transferred.

no necessarily. he could mention on his myspace somewhere that he's interested in this company he's applying for well before january. who knows. doesn't seem we'll get clues until the are fed to us. i fear we've sapped the well dry for now.

You must have posted while I was editing. Very Happy

Many possibilities here. I do think however that the answers will come from the MySpace pages. They are where we were directed to by the original site, which now seems to have stopped posting any pics.

I personally like the idea someone said (on this board) about us getting to know the characters before the movie, although i don't necessarily agree with the connection to 9/11 victims. Perhaps this isn't really an ARG but just a way to get to know the characters before the movie comes out so that we feel more about what happens to them during the movie.

It seems clear that they're creating this movie in a "real time" fashion, as well as the hand-held cameras giving us the perspective of "the people" and not of some epic film. The movie is going to be a far more personal experience than any Monster film seen before, I'm sure. So maybe all these things that we think are clues are really just ways to enhance the intimacy of it all.

Maybe.

Without getting into definitions or predicting what might happen over the next six months, I think this is a great observation.

As for other sites, well, if they exist and we haven't found them, then the game design needs some rethinking. I don't think they intend to make the sites so impossibly difficult to find that the scores of people looking at the trailer can't find them.

By all means, keep looking as much as you like. Just don't blame yourself if you can't find anything new.

Where did he say this? Did he say they were up now? Can we get a factual report of what exactly was said with a link to where it was said? We've learned that there aren't too many reliable sources and that information tends to not be repeated accurately.

And, if you were JJ Abrams, would you be more likely to admit there were no more sites, at least not right now, or keep the hype going by saying they just hadn't been found?

This is what was said and the link:

"Dear Sir,

Thanks for your support of our little movie. I can't wait to talk to you more about it -- of course, knowing you, by the time we talk you'll know more than I will.

Regarding the online stuff you posted: yeah, we're doing some fun stuff on the web. But, obviously, if the movie doesn't kick some massive ASS, who gives a rat's about what's online? So as you can imagine, we're focusing mostly on THAT. For what it's worth, the only site of ours that people have even FOUND is the 1-18-08.com site. The others (like the Ethan Haas sites) have nothing to do with us.

Stay cool the rest of the summer -- and thanks per usual for AICN!

JJ"

For the love of God and all that is holy and pure, Just judging by the trailer and the Mace sites (intentional) there is really nothing to this. THEY ALL WILL DIE. Good riddance too. HUD reminds me of some slackjawed retarded brother who will not get off the couch and work!

This all a really retarded story to do an ARG on anyways. What is the use? what, we want to find out more about dead characters in five months?

Maybe this is not an ARG at all.
