sorry for the shortcoming of that post I was in a hurry there. Look I don't know if it can be over......I mean to think realitic, not to bring everyone out of the imaginary ARG world. Doesn't everyone think that for a business aspect, it wouldn't be advisable to end it. Personally I think that eventually it will end up with people following this ARG will be directed to go to certain locations to get some sort of.....reward. A poster or something like that. Sorry again for being a noob on the last post

i have no idea where anyone got that it would last that long. Ms only ever said it would last several weeks in the summers, geuss what it did.

I was saying the same thing earlier. KLind caught my mistake -- I'd misinterpreted the Eurogamer article as saying that the *ARG* would conclude on September 26th, when it really said the *series* (Halo 3 debuts in Europe that day). I'm in good company, though... Slashdot made the same mistake .

Comparing the quality of your fact checking to that of Slashdot's is hardly a positive comparison!

It is a reasonable mistake though. I think we thought it would go up to launch instead of the end of the summer.

Yeah, Iris is over. Forever....and it did really suck. But, the Microsoft people are still trying to get Halo made into a movie. And I just bet that there will be an ARG for that too. They have one more chance, hopefully now they all know we wanted another ILB.

Because Gears of War wont require TONS of CGI and full suits of armor/vehicles

I am not so sure that the Iris campaign is over just yet. There is a total lunar eclipse on the morning of August the 28th, and, in a campaign that has been heavily influenced by lunar activity, it seems a genuine waste to end the campaign two weeks short of this relatively rare lunar event.
Just a thought.
Edit: also, and I am sure that someone on this forum has thought of this before I have, though I couldn't find it, is that the release of Halo 3 (at least in the US) is September the 26th: the date of the full moon following the lunar eclipse.
Then again, I'm an astro-geek, and terribly biased as such.
