This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang, but with a whimper.

*grin* Can't slip anything past you guys.

I totally agree, where was anything to tell us (apart from an article on an internal ms system) that it is over? where was the fulfilment or the big reveal?

I think the biggest crime here was the ridiculous number of loose ends. Why create intriguing pieces of fiction like SOTA, the FCC, or Jonas Volman when their only purpose is to lead to the Bounce Path Control page? It would be better if they tied into the backstory somehow, but they are instead completely isolated worlds that have no evident connection to the Halo universe. What were those FCC guys discussing? What does their business have to do with the Flood? What happened to Volman? What did SOTA know? The fact that Microsoft just left all these threads hanging is inexcusable.

This is the main point. These sites only seemed to serve that purpose and what is meant to tie them together or give us information on them? Halo 3 can't. It can (and probably will as Frankie did say that they are putting things in the game which allude to information only people who have followed the extra things (ie not halo 1 and 2) will have a clue at) tie up the flood and the forerunner information but nothing set at the present day. I cant help but think that there is a missing part somewhere: the SOTA email or the "under construction" members sign up page.

I'm just disappointed that this is actually it I suppose, I didn't want it to end and now wish I was around when ILB was going on. That's not to say I didnt enjoy this, just disappointed it finished how it has.

Mother.

Censored ers.

More with less, my bonnie white ass.

They did less with more.

Much, much less with much, much more.

All these "people" did this ad "campaign" that amounted to less than one week of collective actual work from the ILB crew, our side or theirs.

What a Censored ing joke.

Went to the IMAX event in Seattle. No sign of any Iris stuff. However, I missed the first show and that's when the Microsoft representatives were there. I talked to a couple of people from Bungie; according to one of the Dev's Iris was all internal with Microsoft and Bungie didn't really have anything to do with it. They weren't given any indication of how the story was going to play out.

PAX is coming up this weekend and there's the lunar eclipse the 28th, so I suppose they could still sneak something new in there, but I'm still kind of getting the vibe that it's all over.

Please excuse the poor grammar, it's about 4:30 in the morning, no sleep yet.

PAX= Penny Arcade Expo. Think the old E3, but half as good, yet still better than the new E3

I'm sorry, but where did this article say the game ended? I guess I'm just crazy, or the rest of you are. I'm sorry...but I seriously feel like you're all stupid. Besides it being in past-tense, it doesn't say anywhere that the game is over and there is no finale coming...especially since this was leaked.

I think if they DID plan on finishing this, they shouldn't now, all because you f*cking hooligans taking shortcuts to get around EVERYTHING that you can. I'd have to say the community around this game was somewhat a failure, just a throng of random people shouting about stuff and grabbing at whatever they could.

Yeah your're crazy

"The project launched in June and wrapped up August 16, unfolding as a virtual treasure hunt in five episodes."

And also... I hope your dad doesn't get fired for leaking you news from an *internal* Microsoft site. Because that would suck too.
