SPOILER: Queens puzzle AND failsafe.html

Hi, I've been quiet on this board and fairly new to L3 but finally have something to contribute...

Solve to queens puzzle:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The red letters (now on a chess board) from queens page contains 64 characters. Put those on a 8x8 grid from left to right, top to bottom. Match the solns of the 8 queens puzzle to the letters of the grid. Of the 92 solns only 1 produces a word (without anagramming at least). It's 16837425 (i.e. first queen on top row, left most square. second queen on 2nd row, 6th square from the left. etc.). The word thus formed is "archives".

Putting it all together to find failsafe.html

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Putting together the solves from the bible page press release (www.nru.us/purge/), the painting (failsafe.html) and the word "archives", you get "http://www.nru.us/purge/archives/failsafe.html"

It's a message from Jake.

I'm wondering whether this is the end of the current 'test' Confused

Great job, grumpyboy! Because of what that page says, I saved an archive which is attached.

Nice job on the archive, spacely... looks like the page is still there, but for how long?

I will be very interested when this game goes live (or more live, as the case may be). Looks and sounds interesting so far.

Received the following reply from L3 regarding the solve to queens:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Subject: Results for Test 5

Mr. Grumpyboy,

From what we have determined the solution 'archives' seems to be correct. As for
your collective solution we have no information in regards to a failsafe.html
page on New River's website. Again, congratulations on the solve.

L3's response

Ok so apparently, the law firm is clueless as to the meanings behind the answers to the tests. We seem to have found a trend where they either didn't realize or were paid to forget there was one. =)

Makes it sound like Jake is the mysterious benefactor, dunnit?
