Amijisti, I can't find any emails from Samuel saying anything about a girlfriend. There was the one email about the "awful woman", and he said this about R.F.'s wife -

Which, I think, marks my first time ever e-mailing an in-game character. YAY ME!

so are we actually intending to give Sam what he want. Granted from a sort of meta perspective, it's the first time we've become directly engaged in the game but helping a man who's even one half homocidal maniac seems a bit of a betrayal to me.

I am not willing to give Samuel information that could cause harm to R.F.'s family. In my email from Samuel he said he needed my help to get the whole video

In my view, It's one thing entirely to gain as much info as we can for own knowledge and quite another to give it to sam who appears to be rapidly cominf unglued. In Samuel's alledged phone call he made it clear that he didn't even trust himself with r.f's wife and kids. I'm with waitress and killian on this. If in the context of the game rule number one is to act as if it were not a game, i would never bargain with someone else's life especially kids.
