Okay, I've been playing with this first roar for little while, and there's obviously a slowed down voice at the tail end of it. I sped it up, but there's too much racket carrying over it to tell what it says exactly. Sounds like "Today" or "Too Late". Sounds like something like that.

I don't think it's backwards. My connection times out like every few minutes so I can't tell if the other 5 roars (since there's 6, right?) are different.
Still, there's something there that someone more experienced then I am should check out.

Plus that roar is still creeping me out. I'm totally fitting it in somewhere in my DJ set tonight at the club...ooooh I hope there's someone more messed up then they need to be there tonight... Twisted Evil

I'm not hearing this. Where are you hearing this voice?

So I sent the link to a friend telling her to listen to it. And she had it open for 7+ minutes and like, she never heard the roar, but she got a "Help me" in a very quiet voice. Can someone confirm this for me?

Me either. What that sounds like at the end, to me, is like the roar of a jet
fighter, at a distance, flying away.

This is about 7 seconds into the roar. I sped to up to make the voice a little more natural. Could be nothing. Just part of the sound design, but there's definitely a human voice saying something.

Sounds a little too metallic to me. More like a ricochet or something, or an echo.

I'll do some noise removal, though, see what I get.

Nothing definitive. Either it's nothing, or there's toom much extraneous noise to make a quality noise filter.

Yea, it's noisy, and there's a lot of echo. Still, I hope this pans out to be something.

Just attach them to the post...the options to the left of the message body when you post.

(Awesome, my 100th post! Hopefully it was helpful...high fives...)

Very fast moving sound at about 10.5 seconds, right before the silence. Sounds like something sped up and possibly reversed, but I can't make anything of it.

I'm pretty stupid when it comes to computers and code, etc, etc. Would you need to take down a website for several hours to upload a roar? Seems to me it would be a simpler process...could there be hidden stuff in the sounds as others here are trying to analyze that would require a several hour down time?

Again, I'm an idiot, so please be merciful.

Sounds like your typical sci-fi fare, the stereotypical 'UFO flying by' oscillating sound. Nothing fancy, but I don't know, it could be something.

If 1-18-08.com is hosted on a main server (as I imagine it is), then it would be down for the entirety of that server's maintenance, regardless what was being done to that specific site.

It's possible other pages have been updated in a similar fashion. Anyone tried slusho yet?
