another thing that seemed different in the trailer was the music at the party. In The US version I believe they are playing the Nelly Timbaland/Keri somthing way Im are and whatever that is on the brittish one is not that.
Kinda sounds like The White Stripes to me, don't know though.

music the song playing in the background at the party is "Woman" by a band called Wolfmother...

It's a slowed down version of "Woman", so that may be why it sounds odd.
I think, when they're on the roof, the guy says "I guess you should've left town earlier." I think that Rob's response is "Should've." It would be quite easy to confuse "should've" for "shut up," especially considering it's not loud and followed by an explosion and roar.
Also, I think cuts in the trailer in this video were made due to time constrants.

Rob doesn't say "Shut up", he says "I Should've".
Which is also incriminating...

I know this is nitpicky, and has been mentioned before, but the song is the MSTRKRFT remix of Wolfmother's "Woman". It's actually the same tempo, just a different musical arrangement. The vocals may've been slightly slowed down to sit with the dancier arrangement, but I doubt it. Sorry, the DJ in me forced me to clarify.

Not necessarily incriminating. From his perspective something bad has just happened in New York during the short blackout and that in New York's history, it can't mean anything good. If he's saying "I Should've", I figure he's lamenting on the fact that he coulda missed whatever it is if he'd left earlier.
For the moment I don't believe he knew what it was prior to it happening.

I know this is turning into an "a lion / alive" sort of thing but I can clearly hear him say "Shut up."

It doesnt matter. Unlike the lion thing (which potentially could be revealing the monsters identity, though I personally am on the "alive" side) either way it doesnt affect us. I shoulda, or shut up, it reveals little.
Christ i prey we get something new on this soon or else we will start analysing which hand the supposed hand writing was written with on the photos.
The more important fact is the sound removing, why it was removed I have no idea. Its either a newer or older cut I guess.

I'm gonna go with older and perhaps even non-theatrical trailer copy.
But that would imply that they got the clip directly from Paramount and not from the Apple web site.... oh damn it.

I dunno. They could have got it from the UK cinema reel, I wasnt analysing the trailer when it appeared in the cinema over here, infact I forgot about it until seeing it online again, so I cannot remember what it was like at that point.

The Five News website has a link to the Apple website trailer, so I would think that's where they got it.
