AIM w/CW 4/20

It's long, so I won't post it unless we need it. It's saved.

1. He was "himself" today.

2. Someone is definitely impersonating me. Someone sent him flowers before he went on his road trip and said they were from me.

3. He will eventually be near me. When I don't know. But he did mention something about some of his former students owning a game store not to far from me. Gave me streets etc. Do you think this is a hint that I should contact the store? Or am I being set up again? (I think both).

4. He still has "his" ToBI. He turned it on the other day (which day I don't know) and did a search for me. He found some archived papers of an Ursulla XXXX who was signing into some official building every mon-fri in 2000 and it stopped in Jan 2001. He also saw that impersonator on the security cameras.

5. It seems he's locked out of his server. Can't get to his email. (so he didn't send the e-cards?) I didn't get a chance to talk to him about those.

6. He has my number pre-programmed into his cell phone. (didn't get to talk to him about the split-personality idea either)

7. And I didn't get to talk to him about the new page we're supposed to be looking for. Sorry. I've got myself to think about. Shocked

*EDIT - Why all this is happening to me, I have no idea. I swear I'm not BTS. I hope more comes out later on somebody else. Wink

I wonder how long he's been unable to use his mail server. You say he is unable to get his mail, but would he be able to send stuff out? The latest post from him on Grendel Supporters gives the williamroddington email address. So did he send this, or did whoever has his email locked send it (Ideltech?)? Or did he post the message from the website.

Makes you wonder who is impersonating you. Is it the same person that is impersonating the professor? And why? Divide and Conqueor?

I have become AWARE of one thing tho: I'm hopelessly lost and in over my head with all of this.

I went back thru the IM and when I told him I was going to check on the game store, he said
Quote:
CliffordWorly (12:07:50 PM): Please do. I like to make sure MOST of my students are doing well.

So, I'm taking it as a yes. Ironically, that's where my husband is from. Time to go make some phone calls and sound like an idiot.

*Edit - Video games are mentioned here. So I guess the ex-students of the prof would have known Marcus, Marty and Jude. Hmmm.

Still checking. The three numbers I had turned out not to be near where he said.

You may get a fax full of government secrets. Or you may get a phone call from someone in need of your help. Or someone is ready to threaten you for helping the person that just called. Surfing the web you might be startled by an IM from someone who knows much more about you than you do them. Imagine what your surprise will be when on the way to the grocery store you look in the mirror and notice someone is following you.

I can see it now. Myssfitz goes to the video store where they get an strange fax addressed to her. As she leaves the store, she notices someone following her. That person snatches the fax from her hand and goes running down the street singing songs from 'The Phantom of the Opera'. Her phone then rings. It's the Professor and he's talking to her impersonator in IM and wants to be sure its not really Myssfitz.

(Sorry, I'm bored at work and still stuck on the midi/blb puzzle).

Now wouldn't that freak us all out if it happened?!!!

To help with the store search, here is the exact part of the IM:

Quote:
CliffordWorly (12:04:46 PM): Though, I am due to arrive in Baltimore eventually.. Perhaps a nice dinner?
CliffordWorly (12:05:08 PM): I know this place in Brooklyn
CliffordWorly (12:05:19 PM): Actually, Glen Burnie.

MyssFitz (12:05:40 PM): Where?
CliffordWorly (12:05:41 PM): Down a little ways from the big tower building.. You know the place?
CliffordWorly (12:05:47 PM): Between the Highways
CliffordWorly (12:05:55 PM): It's been a long time since I was there

MyssFitz (12:06:24 PM): Not to familiar, but I own a house down there. Rent it out.
CliffordWorly (12:06:49 PM): Nice. Say, is that game store owned by those kids still going?
CliffordWorly (12:07:01 PM): Called the "Game Pit" or something?
CliffordWorly (12:07:07 PM): They used to be students of mine.
CliffordWorly (12:07:21 PM): Got the crazy idea to go into a gaming store buisness.

MyssFitz (12:07:31 PM): I don't know. I will have to find out.
CliffordWorly (12:07:50 PM): Please do. I like to make sure MOST of my students are doing well.
MyssFitz (12:07:58 PM): LOL
CliffordWorly (12:08:07 PM): It's right next to the laundrymat and the Funeral Home..
CliffordWorly (12:08:20 PM): You know.. The road that goes to the Light rail
CliffordWorly (12:08:28 PM): Know where I'm talking about?

MyssFitz (12:08:39 PM): No. But I will find out.
CliffordWorly (12:08:44 PM): Cool

ANy luck finding a website yet? There's this site, but it doesn't seem to be related to a store and hasn't been updated in quite awhile. The featured game is Grand Theft Auto though. I think it's just a coincidence.

Too funny Varin. I found that too. Going through the site I somehow found this: (and I have no idea how I found it)

http://searchirc.com/network/GamePit

Maybe where our next broadcast will be from?

To send the ecards all you need is a internet connection, no the mail server itself; it is the ecard company who send the mail to both the sender and the recipient

So although his mail server doesnt work, he could have sent the ecards

Ok, so I'm really bored at work and while I do have the text for Phantom of the Opera downloaded, I'm not in a reading mood. So instead I tried searching on Yahoo Yellow Pages for Game Pit in Baltimore. No luck. Search just for 'game'. Only 4 sites to do with Video Games. Nothing that seemed to be confused with Game Pit. Search for laundromats and funeral homes. Find alot. Not surprising. Cross referenced to see if I could find any locations near each other. Found 5 within a block or so. I'm attaching names and addresses below. Maybe Myssfitz (or someone else in Baltimore) knows if they are in the general area that the professor was talking about.

Quote:
Gardner, Scott - Duda-Ruck Funeral Home Inc
7922 Wise Ave

Sudsy's Laundromat
7844 Wise Ave

Quote:
Morton, James A - James A Morton & Sons Funeral
1701 Laurens St

J & J Laundromat
1712 Laurens St

Quote:
Carpenter, Michael - Burgee-Henss Seitz
3631 Falls Rd

Falls Road Laundry Inc
3710 Falls Rd

Quote:
Charles S Zeiler & Son Inc
6224 Eastern Ave

Sunshine Center Laundromat
6212 Eastern Ave

Quote:
Greene, Vaugn - Greene Funeral Svc
5151 Baltimore National Pike

Sudsville Laundry
5210 Baltimore National Pike

Like I said, I'm really bored. And if this actually leads anywhere, I want my own personal e-card from all of you Smile

Nothing is clicking yet. I have to stop for now. I do have a family things. Very Happy
I will keep checking.

Great work Rowan!!

I just hope that this really means something and it's not a wild goose chase.

And I know I've asked in chat, but I'll ask here again for those not in chat.
The Game Pit was a few years ago. Somebody bought them out and changed the name. Does anyone know the new name? It's not GameStop. Thanks.

Beats me, I've never heard of it. These are the listings I got for video games stores in Baltimore, but none are near the funeral / landromats. But then again, none of this could mean anything.

Avatars Inc
8004 Arrowhead Rd

It's About Games
4303 Ebenezer Rd

Power Game
6606 Reisterstown Rd

Software Etc
6901 Security Blvd
