[QUESTION][META] How Much Do You Think Will Be Given Away?

you're exactly right. he will feed us next to nothing in the next five months. his goal is to sell us a product. he's not going to let anything slip. or if he does, he will spill it all like any other movie preview.

I honestly think that we're not going to know until the film comes out. That's for the best IMO because if there's one way I'd like the monster to be revealed it's on-screen.

i really dont think we'll know much more then we do now until the film comes out, and even when it does, we'll only know a little more, i mean how much is there to know anyway? what the monster is/looks like, why,if it has a reason, is it smashing up NYC. and how's it end.

^ complete backstory of the monster including birth, food, how it got so damned big, any previous contact with the humans, slusho links. I doubt any of that will be in the film, but is what we can expect to find from the campaign if anything. I SERIOUSLY doubt we will learn of what the monster is, most people just want to know what the monster is, not what happens. We know what we'll find mostly

I hope the monster is NEVER revealed until the movie is released. What I'm hoping the new poster and trailer will do is reveal a little more backstory and some more of the destruction, possibly some hints as to what the monster is *like a footprint in the concrete or something*, but I seriously hope they keep the mysteriousness of the monster going till January 18th.

IF the monster is something we have never seen before, I wouldnt mind a poster with the silhouette of it, in a way where you could make guesses, but not be 100% sure. Even if the monster is similar, it could be a silhouette of it in a very different pose so some of the details are harder to make out *like limbs infront of it so you cant really see em or in a crouched pose or w/e*

Also I hope the movie title wont give it away, like I hope the movie is NOT named after the monster. Something like Dawn or Found would be cool as it doesnt say anything about the monster itself.

If the campaign loses much more steam then I think he will have to release something. I think his goal is to release the smallest amount of info possible so that very little will be known about the movie when it comes out.

It's obvious we won't know the true identity of the monster until we see it in our local theaters. That would decimate their profits because many people would feel there was no point in seeing the movie. But what I'm hoping for is a slight clue about the monster's appearance (like the aforementioned footprint) or maybe a Loch-Ness-style photo that's ultra-blurry and impossible to make out.

I REALLY hope this turns into a bitchin' ARG, not just a few little side websites.

I'm still under the suspicion that we may never find out what hte monster looks like. Its just a first person camera thing..so we may only see what goes on with Rob.

I sure hope I'm wrong, though. I want to see the monster eat the childrenz.
