jb

I don't know what the J actually stands for, but it is Keith Buckler's middle initial ... ?? so if he usually went by his middle name, it would be JB ... could be wrong though

Also lost

I know the feeling. I have looked at everything for hours (earlier today) over and over trying to glean a starting point.

Organization?

I think we are supposed to find out about the underground perfume organzation, do you think we are supposed ot figure out the name? This challenge doesn't have a clear set out challenge like the other three. its like the bottom part got cut off.

Covet

I am glad I am not the only one stumped. I really think the answer lies in the group post about the British colleague and his group. Who that guy is, I don't know.

I have to admit, i am totally stumped. At first I tried first letters, then last letters, then repeated letters in the headline words - that made a little progress, I can get FIRST & then NATAL but there are 2 headlines that don't have repeated first letters in the words:

Global Essence in France - "boss" in Budapest

and

Demographics Shape Buying Habits - Kovacs

BUT there is also this one - which also throws a wrench into the thought process

FMA Study: Fragrance Residues from Candles - Kovacs (F)

Just to help others see my thought process, so maybe someone can bring it to a successful conclusion:

The Fragrance Foundation to Honor John Ledes - Kovacs (F)
Forget the Calendar: The Beauty Is in 30 Days of Marketing - Kovacs (I)
Asset-backed securities Sold down the river Rhine -- Kovacs (R)
Wall Street Journal leaves a scent for advertisers - 'example of what's to come' (S)
It's arrived: the feminisation of the net - colleague in Grasse (T)

Sensient Names New President and COO - Kovacs (N)
Après Rehab: A Lovely Sobriety - Kovacs (A)
Elite take private jets to new highs - "boss in Budapest" (T)
La mode de l'alcool chez les jeunes inquiète les autorités autrichiennes - Kovacs (A) (L)

Global EssencE in FrancE - "boss" in Budapest (E)

and

DemographicS Shape Buying HabitS - Kovacs (S)

BUT there is also this one - which also throws a wrench into the thought process

FMA Study: Fragrance ResidueS from CandleS - Kovacs (F) or (S)

If we continue with that thought process what if we took the letters that repeated at the end of the words, that would give us an E and two S' I capitolized what i was thinking.

What do you think?[/b]

Nice idea Pony, but I can't see that working with the rest of the headlines - I would think that whatever the "formula" is will work on all of them the same way, not one or two that are different

Well, it can be done with the rest of Kovacs headlines, but, lots of E's & S's

Well if you are doing both repeating first & last letters, then yes, but if just last letters, First Natal can't be used
