It has to be something right in front of us cause reading into things is getting me no where and I think I'm tripping over the "clues" and using them in the wrong way maybe....

What we know so far

We know that we are supposed to be unearthing the name of some organization which M. Szaglas is doing some work for (and possibly leading).

Szaglas has a Myspace group called "Power Scents" in which she mentions some "recommended reading" which are articles found online (in subsequent posts, she gives links to these articles).

The headlines seem to be the reason these have been posted, "Pay most attention to my fellow Hungarian's recommendations and read those headlines closely. Even a single letter there can be as valuable to understanding the mind of a great perfumer..."

I know it's gotta be some letter from those headlines, but we've explored using the first letters and the last letters, but to no avail.

I think we've gotta use a cipher on the first letters of the headlines, the question is just what cipher? I tried using the Vingenere one (using the key word of SARL, which is listed in Szaglas' past work on her myspace) but that lead nowhere.

I think we need to put our efforts towards those headlines.

Titles

a single letter? ok, so maybe we need to use capital letters in an anagram, because if you look at this title for example, why is the 'I' in is, capitalized, it isn't. words are only capitalizzed if they're important.

How nice, went looking to see if any other forums are making pregress on this & find that Steeple Media has literally copy & pasted the list of headlines I posted a few pages back. Sandraatlanta, it is nice to give credit to your sources

Attenuation is a general term that refers to any reduction in the strength of a signal. Attenuation occurs with any type of signal, whether digital or analog. Sometimes called loss, attenuation is a natural consequence of signal transmission over long distances. The extent of attenuation is usually expressed in units called decibels (dBs).

her quote on her myspace according to this site:

http://www.dictionary-directory.info/translator/search.php?q=Felh%EDg%EDtott+r%E9szv%E9nyt%F5ke&slc=en&submit=Lookup

translates to attentuate capital stock. wierd, I dunno if I did that right.

i got watered capital or watered stock when i looked it up

How about watered down perfumes? Or the use of "special" (hungary) water in their "perfume stock" which provides them with "capital?"

well here is my two cents...lol!
maybe there is one word from all the articles that when put together say what the answer is. also on the covet.com melisande(sp) mentioned what tony had done. well on tony's flickr page he has this paragraph with some random words...his tags. that is where we got the anwer from last week so maybe elimate those words, then find the words on his paragraph and see if they are in any of the articles....does that make sense?lol! i havent tried it yet, but i am about to.

Well i tried this and it didnt seem to work, but why would melisande mention tony?? i know he was the one who pretende to be m. szgals new assistant, but there has to be a reason she chose to use tony's name!

ABBA

I know i don't have the answer...but I really think ABBA has something to do with how we'll "de-code" those headlines. ABBA is a common pattern in music, etc: meaning (if I remember correctly) 1,2,2,1.

I'm looking at that pattern of letters, words, etc in headlines and still not seeing anything. Anyone else think this is at all important or am I off on some tanget now.

Has anyone at all solved this yet? Not that I want the answer...I just want to know if they're trying to give us hints through the week or if it could be solved with the info we were given at the time the challenge was posted.

Paulette? I know you were hot on the trail last night...any luck? I hope so...you had really worked hard (and smart)!!!
