 		[UPDATE] 8/28/08 - the latest through today 8/28
For some reason, the forum hasn't kept current with a bunch of recent stuff.

I haven't been around but, here is what I know:

1. Political Texan is probably dead, at least according to Exu.

2. Sapagoo found the hard drive that BA had pointed to in the most recent Craigslist posts. The storage area was creepy and set up as for some ritual. In the same storage area was a plane ticket with Art's (y2Kveteran) name on int.

3. Contents of the hard drive are listed on the Sentry Outpost wiki:

4. At least one important bit of information from that was the edict that Exu kept talking about...the edict that stopped him from explaining more to us.

Conclave reminds you that a violation of Edict carries the same punishment as a direct violation of the Agreement. The harshest possible penalties available under your organization's charters are expected to be enacted against first-time violators. Organizations themselves will face direct punishment from Conclave if there are second violations.

With my own hand I set this down as the will of valid Conclave, to remain Edict for one generation unless Conclave takes further action.

5. EconJen, according to a report Jen's sister made to Marie, was brutally murdered and her computer stolen.

6. StuR posted about lucky 5 on August 27th To course across more kindly.. but is now dead according to a blog post from his brother:last blog post

7. As far as I know Art is missing...but maybe presumed dead?

That is all I've got. I know there is more happening, but I can't find out about it either from Sentry Outpost or this forum. If anyone can add to this list, please do.

August 25th - BA Saint Feline posted four craiglist posts, the last in dubai and then dropped off the face of the earth for a day. We are worried terribly.

Aug 26th - BA comes back and leading us to the garage. The cats noticed she was back.

Aug 27th - Luck5 infected a new source creating a new mud which promptly crashed and went offline. I never got to see it.

Aug 28th - The lunar eclipse came and went and the world pointably failed to end, which is good.


So...is the next step that Howard's (HPHack) computer is infected?

Damn! I have rarely been this emotionally moved by the loss of a fictional character! I am so pissed off and so heartsick I can't begin to tell you! I am not a cryer in the first place. I can probably count on two hands the number of times I have cried as an adult. But g*d f*ck*ng d*mn; losing Jen has me sitting here at work trying not to throw things and cry my eyes out!

 		Thanks for doing this Rose. It's been a lot to keep up with on SentryOutpost alone that I think that UF kinda gets neglected...

Anyway, to flesh out your post:

Marie also found out that Jen had actually received a package with a note from "B" all along, including the following watercolor piece and note:

For some reason, Jen didn't tell us about this. At least it completes the watercolor. Smile


Perhaps more disturbingly, Marie also posted and told us that she received a letter from BA. She found it when she was out looking at the eclipse this morning:

This is disturbing because Marie's post was also full of "life lessons learned" and "life is a gift" and "appreciate life", which are all pretty much a Death Knell for any character in any story ever. Plus she signed out with

Pair that with her story about asphixiating her friends with CO, then I think that Marie is not long for this game, unfortunately.

Who is going to be the messenger for her death?!?

    Howard MIA (so what happened with Lucky5 in Cambridge today?)
    Alan MIA, presumed dead
    Exu MIA, presumed headed for the hills
    Bryce, crazy

 		Thanks for doing this, Rose. Smile Between work obligations and my kids' activities, I've gotten impossibly behind over at SO. It doesn't look like I'll be catching up anytime soon either. This is about the only way I can stay reasonably in-touch with what's happening. Thanks again!

 		Also, as seen in this thread

Someone uploaded photos to j5's site of the horror at the storage area that Sapagoo braved. (my guess is that it was Art.)

And to cheat a little on the updates and go into tomorrow 8/28 - Howard had reported on SO and mentioned that Art was at his apartment last night and left a note in Howard's doorjamb. Howard burned the note. (maybe Art told him to do so.)

No word yet from Marie.

He also left her cell number since he had to be out for a few hours: 415-651-9104. He suggested we not overwhelm her with calls. When you call, you'll -- GET THIS -- get her voicemail Wink

I also tried to txt her, but they were all returned.
